“a family campground”
Welcome to the Gettysburg Campground, in historic Gettysburg! Located just 3 miles West of the center of town, our Gettysburg Campground is bordered by beautiful Marsh Creek, with both shady or sunny RV sites, and a primitive tent area along the creek. We offer 260 sites, accommodating everything from a tent to literally any size RV. Gettysburg Campground is also the only campground in Gettysburg with an on-site RV repair facility. We also have rustic cabins and full-facility cottages, if you are new to the camping experience and want to relax away from home.

Friendly staff, good power and water, level gravel sites, older but clean restrooms that could use some new doors on the stalls. Fire rings pretty close to everything so pretty smoky on windless evenings. Popular family park, so lots of kids. Little store and ice cream shop is nice touch and putt putt golf. Not a place we would just go camp, but to tour from it was good. And the entrance is fine. No problem for bi rigs.

Stayed here for 2 nights in May. Rate was around $39/night with AAA discount. We opted for the electric and water hookup only since there was a dump nearby.
Well run campground, friendly staff who keep the place clean and patrol the grounds often. Sites on the perimeter overlook the river, which is a nice place to dip your toes in on a warm day. They have a pool that's open seasonally and sell propane on site. They also have a clean laundry room but it was a bit of a hike for us from our site since it's in the main office area

We had a full hookup site at this campground. The site was nice. It was shaded and spacious (more so then a lot of campgrounds like this). It was quite and had a nice camp store with a good selection of stuff and served icecream. We walked around the campground and they have some really beautiful sites directory on the water. We would shoot for one of those next time. Campground is conveniently located to most things. Bathhouse was nice, and well maintained.

Great location, nice and flat campground. GREAT for kids. Well maintained with a. Safe atmosphere. Friendly staff. Good campsites. We have had bad experiences in the past with staff that treated us like it seemed we weren’t worth their time. But that seems to be in the past and we will be returning.
We had been coming here for MANY years growing up when joe owned the place and looking forward to many more.

Nice well laid out campground. Gravel sites. We used 2 leveling blocks - left side. All the amenities that families want...Pool, Mini Golf, Basketball, Playground...and even volleyball. Lots of large shade trees. Very close to all Gettysburg has to offer. Staff very professional and friendly.
Two things they could improve would be trash... 2 large dumpsters but both were overflowing onto the ground. Bathrooms need an update...no a/c...exhaust fan only. Otherwise bathrooms were kept very clean.

We had a gravel pull thru FHU 50 amp with cable. Cable worked ok. Site was plenty long enough. Sites were nearby. We had a picnic table and fire ring. Lots of area to walk the dog. Plenty of things for kids to do. Laundry had 3 washers at 2.00 and 3 dryers at 1.50 for 45 min. Verizon worked fine so I didn’t use the WiFi. Convenient to Gettysburg. We did the double decker bus guided tour and it was very good. Ate at the Lincoln Diner and Gettysburg Eddies. Both very good.

Nice staff. The campsites are level, surrounded by trees for nice shade, and well kept. If you have Verizon wireless and use phones for hotspot you are in luck here, the service is excellent. We streamed all three days and never had any service interruptions. Bath houses were clean as well.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Gettysburg Campground. The campground has wonderful staff who do a great job and are very friendly and helpful. We stayed in site 61 which is one of the “buddy sites that allows rigs to face each other when your camping with a friend. The one negative to this site was that we faced into the afternoon sun. The sites along the creek are very nice with some having sewer as well as water and electric. All sites have water and electric at least though I’m not sure about the tent sites. The sites in blue and along the creek are all under trees which provide shade and a nice wooded feel. Our site was listed as being a 30A site but was actually a 50A site which we appreciated. Amenities like mini golf and shuffleboard are free and the pool was nice as well. The bathrooms are nothing special but they were very clean which was appreciated.
We would absolutely return to this campground again and are going to be making reservations to do so soon. I would suggest a site along the creek or under the trees for most people though many of those sadly do not offer sewer. All in all I highly recommend Gettysburg campground.

If you’re looking for a backwoods, off-the-beaten-path type of campground, this isn’t it. If you are looking for a campground that is very close to an historical National Park not to mention shopping and restaurants, this is for you.
The amenities of Gettysburg Campground are quite good: full hookups with cable, all working as expected. Level sites, friendly and efficient staff, decently sized sites long enough for my 32’ coach and a toad. The two drawbacks are that the sites are quite packed together and the noise of traffic – at least in the frontmost sites – can get rather loud at night. However, the proximity to Gettysburg National Park can’t be beat.
