Reviews
In addition to the historical interest, this is still an operating Trading Post. The rug room in the back is not to be missed. They have genuine Navajo rugs that have been weaved locally - some of the most beautiful and intricate designs I have seen. If you are wanting guaranteed authentic Navajo art of any kind, this is a must stop.
Best examples of Navajo jewelry and rugs we saw on our trip. Loved the history, too.
Trading Post was awesome, very historic. Lots of goods for sale, traditional Navajo art and supplies. The barns and stables are awesome, with lots of old farm implements, coaches and wagons. The horses were very curious and the turkeys were funky! Loved this place.
Historic building ran by NPS. Most of it is not accessible, used for offices. Tours of the house are available after 11am, we were there early. House looks modernized Overall nice looking building but not worth a detour. Nice clean bathrooms make it a good rest stop if you're in the area.
