Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on October 12, 2023This was a really nice first stop on a big journey we are on but some parts of the RV park leave a bit to be desired.
I leave this still as 4 stars because the site was good, power and water worked well and the dump site was really accessible. There was a frisbee golf course going throughout and an adequate park for the kids.
We were surprised that the showers had to be paid for in order to use them. The bathrooms were clean and the sites were clean as well. My dog enjoyed the stay a lot as well.
We would go back again but just be prepared to pay for the showers or make sure the tanks were empty on the way in.
Nice location just 6 miles off I-40 in West Oklahoma as well

We pulled off the highway after a long day of driving and we called ahead to make sure they would have space for our rig - luckily, they did.
We snagged site 10 at the end of the RV campground - it was lovely. Peaceful and quiet. I'm sorry we only stayed one night. If we're ever back through that part of Oklahoma again, we'd stay over here.
Only con was that cell service was minimal at best.

We stayed 2 nights. It was a real nice and quiet place. There was a dis golf course across the street from where we was staying. The ducks came up to your campsite. We stayed at Cedar Point which only has 15 sites. We had a pull Thur that was long enough for our trailer and pickup. The sites was all concrete and it was well maintained. We was about 200 feet away from the lake. We plan on going back.

Camped 10/5/19 (Sat). This review & overall rating pertains to Cottonwood Campground. There are 6 campgrounds in the park for RVs, and 2 unimproved areas for tent camping. Rates range from $16 (primitive) and $25-$30 for RV. We were there only as a one-night stopover, so only got to explore the park a little bit before dark.
The Park Office closed at 4:30, and we arrived after that (without a reservation), but the park manager was nice enough to come out and register us. You're supposed to reserve online or call/visit the office FIRST before taking a site. We got assigned to a Cottonwood CG "semi-modern" site (water, 50A elec).
Our camping area seemed to have been mowed recently after being neglected for awhile as there were piles of grass in various places. Weeds & tall grass were around picnic tables, in the fire rings and other areas. A picnic table by us had a tree growing underneath. The area is open with some trees, and sites are close, so no privacy. The loop was gravel, as were the pads. The sites all seemed pretty level, and most were back-in. Back section had the "modern" sites with full hookups. There is no view of the lake at Cottonwood.
Sites have fire ring, picnic table & trash hook. Site number is on the electrical box, not a post. There is a playground for kids. The shower house/bathroom has 4 unisex shower rooms and 2 restrooms. They were clean; no soap, but a hand dryer. If I recall, there was a sign stating the showers are now free.
We drove to check out Cedar Point CG on the lake, and it was much nicer and better kept, and was also fuller.
Besides camping, the park offers fishing & boating, fishing dock, marina (open on a seasonal basis), swimming beach, disc golf course, multi-purpose trails for hiking, equestrian & mountain bikes, and picnic areas.

We stayed at the Sandy Beach campground. There are 10 sites in that campground for RV's, so it's a little quieter than the larger campgrounds. They do have tent camping spots a little way up the road. The sites are paved, level and spacious enough to spread out a little. There is a dump station located at this campground that is very convenient to use without having to go to the main campground. Some down sides were that a lot of fire pits had excessive amounts of ash and trash left in them.

We stayed in the Cedar Point RV campground at Foss State Park. It was very easy to pull through and was very close to the water with a great view. The site has concrete pads, electricity and water hookups, picnic table and fire ring plus a nice large tree and grass. The sites are very large with plenty of room for privacy.
You couldn’t really get in the water there because of the mud though.
Right before the park entrance there’s a small convenience store and a liquor store.
We definitely will be back here.

Nice little spot. Just stayed 1 night passing through but it’s got most everything you need except sewer and WiFi. Verizon doesn’t work but our AT&T hotspot is doing fine.

We spent one night in Cedar Loop. Most of the spots were pull-thru. We took a spot next to the water. The next row up was cheaper because they weren't on the water. All of the spots in the loop had power and water. there was a dump station on the way out of the loop. The park is well maintained. They even had a frisbee golf course. There was a large open field next to the park where we could take our dogs off-leash and let them chase sticks. We would stay there again. We were able to access the internet from Verizon

We stayed one night in the Cottonwood campsite - came to see the Great Conjunction of Saturn and Venus. Great place to see the sky - so many stars! Practicing our winter camping! Some road noise.

We practically had the place to ourselves. Really nice end site that was waterfront. Really quiet and calming. Only wish it hadn’t been so cold so that we could have enjoyed it even more. We’d like to stay again in the spring or even summer. Really really nice state park.
