“A long forgotten sewage plant”
This place is on private property. Listing for informational purposes only. Please do not visit without express permission from the land owner. Abandoned water treatment plant that still directs raw sewage into the Trinity River via ground saturation? Water moves west to east into plant at 2.6 knots est. and has a very strong sewage/ammonia smell. From satellite view, exit of water appears to be thru large lines on south and east side of plant and disperses into large fields where a gray gelatin substance is excreting out of the earth and plastic tampons pieces litter the ground. So much saturation has occurred that sidewalks have fallen off into the river on the east side of park. Fort Worth says plant is contaminated and non-functioning. If contamination is truly the case, then the thought of water being “septicly” treated and allowed to filter thru contaminated land then go back into our rivers disturbs me; not to mention deterioration of park sidewalks and land that surround the place. I accidently came upon the place after crossing a downed fence which I hope to see repaired soon. From this point forward I can only hope the water coming into this place is being properly treated and not carelessly being processed.
