Rough road to get to this site, could be quite muddy in the rain. Our 25 ft Winnebago View was able to (barely) manage the road. Should be fine for class Bs or tent campers. No facilities or amenities. The only reason I wouldn't camp here again was the long rough road to get to the camping area. Still a beautiful site and sight!

This was a much welcomed change after boondocking in UT and AZ for a few months. We loved that we had moist soil and no fine dust everywhere. The road was in great condition compared the washboarded roads we have been down elsewhere. We had no problem navigating Six Mile Canyon road with our 30' TT.
We definitely would stay again and would have loved to stay another night.
We stayed closer to the highway since it was a quick stopover. We could see and hear the traffic but it was just fine by us. I'm sure if we ventured further down the road the road noise would disapate.

I only found one site right at the 3 mile marker. It's the one in a lot of the pictures already posted. The road isn't too bad or small till you pass this point. Although, I did see a medium size school bus convert come through and apparently found somewhere beyond to stay for a night. And a couple from New York brought their 40'+ trailer in and almost got stuck. But the guy was an expert driver. I wouldn't bring anything too big down this road.
Other than that the view was great. Cows passed by a couple times a day. You could hear coyotes early in the morning.
Also, it had snowed and then melted. Coming into this canyon there are two washes right by the interstate. Coming out they were large puddles and the second one looked like I could get stuck in it. I didn't but it did concern me.
It's not too bad but only one real campsite three miles in. The road gets rougher after that.

We were unsure if we wanted to risk this after reading reviews since we have a 36’ rig. The road was flat and mostly ok except for two areas that were very washed out with huge potholes. They are about half a mile down the road while it is still parallel to the interstate. One is an enormous puddle that probably will get worse as the rain season sets in. We hit one of the potholes and everything inside the rig went flying. Once the road makes a perpendicular turn towards the canyon, there is pretty much nowhere to pull off until you get to the GPS coordinate that is near the cattle pen. That area is pretty expansive and flat so if people are sharing space probably at least 6 rigs could park around there. We did not attempt to enter the canyon based off of prior reviews of the road condition. There are also some pull offs right when you get on the road off the interstate, but you would get all the freeway noise. Heard shooting off in the distance starting around 9:30am, and a sheriff drove by in the morning. Pretty clean but lots of cow poop.

Road a little rough but nothing our 25ft van couldn’t handle. I can see how rain could make the big puddle potholes a challenge, bear left at both of them when entering. Took awhile to find a close to level spot

We went down the road for a while and couldn’t find a spot that wasn’t full of cow poop or too soft of ground for our camper. So we didn’t stay. A few good spots for tent camping

We needed a place to sleep off of the 40 and it did the trick! There definitely are potholes, but nothing too crazy. Just go slowly and keep your headlights on! It was really cold- 9 degrees - so the soft mud was almost frozen, making it easier to park and walk around. We didn’t hear any ATVs or noise and were the only ones there. Service wasn’t great and we had an early morning call so we had to head out as soon as we woke up. Recommend to anyone needing a place to sleep.

Stayed here in November 2020. Tried to stay again on our way back down to Phoenix. Gate was locked! Not sure what happened. Had to stay at Flying J. Ugh!

I would just like to note that this is a seasonal site. It is not available until April 1st. We were looking forward to his stay here overnight on our way to the Petrified Forest. The site look great, so I can't give it a bad review. We just were not able to enjoy it
