Stopped here for a night on my way to Big Bend. The station is fairly new. I went inside to ask if I could stay the night and the two ladies were extremely nice to me. The store was well stocked and bathrooms very clean. But here's the best part. The next morning I fueled up and went inside to buy something as a "thank you" for the hospitality. They had a griddle and deep fryer going with these fried cheese and bean chimichanga type things and truckers were lined up to buy them (they have other assorted breakfast items too). So anyway, I bought one of these deep fried wonders and went back to the RV. OH MY GOODNESS. I don't know if its just this place or they offer them at all Velaro's but whatever this thing was, it was insanely good with the provided salsa. I went in and bought two more. Crazy good. Place was only a fraction as busy as the other stations at this offramp. For an overnight at a truck stop, it was a surprisingly pleasant experience! I'll be back!
Not a huge parking lot but it's nice.
I've spent the night here several times passing through headed West and East. Very clean restrooms and open 24/7. People are very friendly and if you are there when the griddle is up and running you can get a nice quick snack and good coffee. Inside seating available. Very easy access on and off I-10. Walmart a short distance away.
Same as others have posted except they are putting concrete in the back to more than double the parking. It has a new dog area that will be opening as well. Looks like they will open the new area in a week or two.
Good price on diesel fuel.
We didn't want to park at nearby rest stop, too isolated. Came back to this Valero gas station and there is a saloon on site, I think it's called "Don't California my Texas",
Parking is far from it and gas station. There are 3 big trash bins.
Arrived on a Saturday afternoon, 3 semis, 2 rigs.
We have a 30 foot skoolie. The area is huge and can accommodate rigs with tows. Very quiet and safe.
We are very grateful to whoever owns this and keeps it clean and safe.
There is an RV park(?) Next to it, you pay $20.00 for full hook ups, nobody really man's it, you put your 20.00 in an envelope or go to saloon and pay. This is the perfect lay over if you just drove that long stretch. Also, having the Valero right there is very convenient.
Clean, safe and well lit. Plenty of parking. Would stay here agin.
The lot is large, very nice store and the staff was great. Right off I 10, so not quite, but very easy off and on, and pumps were easily accessible. Gas was relatively cheap, $2.83 gas/ $3.89 diesel.
