“a treasure trove of sea glass!”
The sand at this unusual beach is covered with interesting-shaped and colored rocks and stones.
I realize the reviews here are 4 years old.... after I drove here. So let me give you a updated review. There is nothing here anymore. The beach is fenced off and all other entrances have no significant glass. I wouldn’t waste my time here. There are signs that say no collecting yet there are people here with buckets and knee pads. What a disappointment.
It's not celebrating garbage; it's celebrating that the earth, through all our attempts to pollute and destroy it, can turn out mistakes into something beautiful.
There's no glass to see here. It's all gone. It's just a regular beach along the coast.
We had such a fabulous time finding treasures. The path splits in two, be sure to take the one marked difficult route, not the easy route if you want to find lots of sea glass.
Beautiful beach with amazing views. However, there is hardly any glass on the beach anymore. You can see tiny bits but not super noticeable.
*see posted photo 10/3/18 No access to The Glass Beach, it is completely fenced off. The surrounding landscape is beautiful! Nice paved walking path and easy to use sand pathways.
harrison lake, there is a cabin the owners pasted on to their son years ago the locals made a pool beside it and many smaller hot tub size pools ( the spring water on the side of the hill is bubbling with natural hot springs ) its hard to find been there once it is up the mountain side you must travel across a fast running spring water (small river seasonal ) o ya you will not make it in winter to much snow wish I had more on it I had heard of it for a long time and finally made it one spring you drive up the middle of a fast running creek water was up to the bottom of the windows of the jeep i had borrowed. location right side of BC harrison lake turn before dear and hicks lake about an hour climb or drive best I can do thanks.
Just went here, beach looks nothing like that. Most people have taken the glass, its a nice beach but not like the pics of nothing but glass pabbles, its mainly just rocks, shells sand and some glass pebbles here and there.
Not only is this a beautiful spot to rest your bones and enjoy the sounds of the ocean on the rock formations and shore, there is still tons of glass if you look. There are several locations to enter the beach, with some more predominant and crowded than others. The views are incredible, and if you look in the little pools closely you'll find entire universes of life and activity - from hermit crabs to starfish - you won't be disappointed. My kids and I absolutley loved it here.
Absolutely Amazing! We loved this stop! It's a must see! Check the tides to be sure you are there during Low Low tide!
