May 2nd, 2021: Info provided by MS DOT confirms that Overnight RV Parking is allowed with a maximum stay of 8 hours. This is a change in policy by the state, which previously stated that Overnight RV Parking was not allowed. MS DOT website states that camping is prohibited on public highways or adjacent lands; that long term parking (for more than an 8-your continuous period) at highway rest areas is not allowed; and that vehicles parked for more than 8 hours may be removed either by MDOT or the Mississippi Highway Patrol. Level, lighted, appears safe & quiet. Telephone, picnic tables, trash cans, pet area, RV dump station, 24hr security. Two prehistoric Native American Mounds, educational signage, historical markers.
