Babbitt's Backcountry has done the tour de Flag over the years, starting out as a corner outdoor goods store in the old post office location downtown in the '80s and early '90s epically called "The Edge." Babbitt's bought the business, but it remained the same store and moved out to the mall for all of three years, during which Keith, our store owner and manager, started behind the counter as a spry young chap. Coming full circle, in the mid '90s The Edge vacated the mall and moved into the historic Babbitt building on the corner on Aspen Avenue and San Francisco Street. Shortly thereafter, The Edge was modified to Babbitt's Backcountry Outfitters
