Great Verizon coverage with our We-boost
and hiking trails nearby for when you want to disconnect from phones but connect with nature.
Camp host is friendly and we paid $10 with our Senior Park pass!

I don’t know who Wrote down that the parks length limit is 22, they are Wrong!! I almost didn’t come because of that! I have a 35’ Class A, and am pulling a 5x8 Utility trailer. I could get into most of the 14 spots, and Yes there are 14 sites NOT 11. Wonderful experience. I will definitely come back. Oh yea and I was able to stream movies too! I do have a netfear antenna that suction cups to the window. Best $30 I ever spent!

We had a wonderful stay at Canyon Vista Campground. It's remarkably close to the city, Flagstaff, but tucked away in the forest, it feels remote. We went in June 2019, and it wasn't crowded at all. The hosts were absolutely wonderful. They came by and checked that we had everything we needed and offered us water. They gave us a general idea of the campground. They had installed little motion sensor lights in the bathroom, so you don't have to fumble with phones or flashlights to use the loo. They have a box of reading materials, books, maps, etc. like a little free library set up. They had 5 wonderful dogs, all leashed, controlled and super friendly and adorable. A few are trained therapy dogs, just wonderful sweet, quiet dogs. It was so clear to me that the hosts really took pride in making sure their guests had a good experience at the campground. I don't think I've ever stayed at a campground where the hosts went so out of their way to make sure I felt at home. I highly recommend this campground to travelers, or locals who just want a chance of scenery, just minutes from the city!

This campground is truly a gem in the Flagstaff area! It is close enough to Flagstaff to run errands and stock up on groceries (and pick up Amazon packages at Whole Foods...laughs) and yet out in nature surrounded by trees with great views of the San Francisco Peaks. Plus, two trailheads start on the north side of this campground: Sandys Canyon Trail and Vista Loop Trail.
The campground currently has 14 sites, some are very spacious (up to 40 foot RVs are welcome), clean vault toilets, fire rings, trash, some recycling (aluminum cans) and picnic tables. The camp hosts are friendly, helpful, and really care about the campground. Water, firewood, and ice are available from the camp hosts. RV Dumping and showers are available at Pine Grove Campground (about 12 miles away).

The sites are big enough to accommodate almost any size rig. They have pit toilets and garbage no water no dump station. The camp host Mike and his daughter are as nice as people as you could meet and the sites are meticulously maintained. It is right off the road so there is a little road noise but not bad.

I loved my weekend. The campsites are spaced far enough apart to allow privacy but no so far I won't wander to visit a neighbor. The restrooms and sites are clean and stocked. There is so much to do between riding the roads around Flagstaff and Mormon Lake to the AZ Trail. We also took the short hike into the Rock Pit. A beautiful forest below some cliffs frequented by rock climbers. Thank you!

Stayed here 6/8 - 6/10/2020. Campground was full, got second to last site. Hosts are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Plenty of space between sites. Trees provide a good deal of privacy, but the sites are not shaded so good for solar. The pit toilets are clean, and smell better than my bathroom at home :). Hosts have put hand sanitizer outside the pit toilets (here during the COVID pandemic).
Sandy's Canyon trail and connection to the Arizona trail are accessible from the CG.
