“one of the oldest, continually run ski resort in the U.S.”
Arizona Snowbowl ski and snowboard resort located in the Grand Canyon State in Flagstaff, AZ. Located on the majestic San Francisco Peaks, the Arizona Snowbowl lies 14 miles outside of Flagstaff, 2 hours from Phoenix, and 70 miles from the Grand Canyon. The resort opened in 1938 and is now one of the oldest continually operated ski area in the country. The Arizona Snowbowl is also the constant center of protest for its use of treated sewage water to make its fake snow.
Pretty good acreage with fast, wide groomers. The new Chondola gets you 2500' up pretty fast.
