Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on July 06, 2019This is a large county fairground with dozens of buildings, a very large arena, a smaller concert area and multiple agricultural "streets". Over the course of the two weeks we were there the grounds hosted two concerts, a parade, two 4-H events, an American Kennel Associate dog show, a Taxidermy Art Show, a Big Truck and Engine Show and three times a week the local Junior Riding Club showed up with their horses for practice in the ring. We enjoyed all of this for FREE! There is a world-class Memorial Rose Garden on site with benches for contemplation.
The managers and staff of the fairground were very friendly & helpful.
In addition, there is plenty to do in the Snake River Valley including kayaking, hiking, and wineries. Craters of the Moon National Monument and Rock City are both within two hours, and both Hagerman National Fossil Beds and Hagerman National Fishery are within 35 minutes. Balanced Rock is about 20 minutes away.
The fairground campground has a brand new shower house with very clean private shower rooms/bathrooms. This campground is large and configured well for a rally. There is no pool or rec room but that is a small price to pay for this super clean park. The daily rate is $20 a night but if you stay all week, they only charge you for five days! There is a two week maximum stay.

Stopped here because I saw a review. This is a great place! Lots and lots of spaces, many with full hookups like I had or you can dry camp for $10.60 a night. Bathrooms are individual rooms with shower, sink, and toilet - all clean and well lit. Magic Valley Reining Horse Association had a competition and several 4-H activities were going on. It was fun to watch it all. I would say this to other campers, this is RV parking for fair ground activities, not expressly for you and not to exclusively do business with you so please be respectful and courteous to campers here for activities. Give them space, be respectful, and enjoy the activity. I was shocked to see a huge Class A from Nevada come in, park right next to a horseman's trailer and open their awning that nearly touched the other trailer. There were more than 50 sites open, more than ten in that row next to the horseman's trailer, some sites with better shade, and yet they were right on top of the horseman. Very bad manners and a blackeye for all RVers.

...and glad we did. The woman in the office was extremely pleasant, though a man–guessing the campground host–gave is a bit of attitude when asking if we’d paid or not. Which is particularly funny because, as they’ll tell you in the office, if they’re not open you are welcome to pay in the morning.
Now on to my review...
As RV parks go, this is a winner because each site is really long. You know when you go to a gas station because it’s the only place to get lunch and they have hot dogs and some of them are extra long, so long that they stick out of the bun and that makes you really happy? That’s how these sites are. And even though they’re fairly close to one another, when we graced them with our presence in late September, there was no fair and thus the place was pretty empty. We essentially had a half acre of lots surrounding us which were empty. If you’re new to RVing, let’s recall our hot dog analogy. Having no neighbors, a few trees for shade and the electric/full LTE combination this place provides is like having mustard, mayo, relish and bacon on your hot dog. In copious amounts.
If you don’t get my analogy, or don’t like hot dogs, or say things like “who eats mayo on a hot dog?” You may not like this place, but in my experience, folks who don’t like mayo on a hot dog don’t like anything except bland hot dogs and paying late fees.
Moving on, if the restrooms are locked, go to the other side of the building and all of your concerns will fade away like the multitude of flies you’ll collect out the window of your rig as you move on down the road.
And check the brewery on Main Street in Twin Falls for a good hazy New England-style IPA. Just don’t ask the guy not wearing a black shirt that all the servers wear, but who hangs out in front the POS, if it’s seat-yourself. Sure, he walks with the swagger of a guy who seems to own the place, but when he stares you down for like 28 seconds before saying, “I don’t [expletive] work here, bro,” and then you end up in the restroom at the same time as him and he’s still kinda rude but then sees your son with long hair and says “Is that you’re [expletive] son with the long hair?” before eyeing you up again and asking “Is that your [you’re getting the idea here] kid? F’n’a man, come find me.” Well, that part is awkward. But the fuseball is fun and they played grunge rock the whole time we were there.

We enjoyed staying here. The price was right $10 + tax for no electric, $20+tax for hookups. Not all have sewer and but there is a dump station you will see as you come in from the east side. Parking on grass was a nice change from sand and/or rocks. The caretaker, director, and seasonal host were great! We were staying over the weekend, and the caretaker came to us personally to tell us there were a couple of parties going on in one of the buildings so it might get a little loud for awhile. We appreciated the heads up. We could hear the music, but it wasn't that bad.
The bathrooms were very nice and clean. They have put in floor heating for the showers and bathrooms.
Being there in October, there were not too many campers, maybe 7 others.
Check out Shoshone Falls. State run and $5 to get in. Nice hikes and viewpoints.
Also worth experiencing is the Minidoka Japanese internment camp (Camp Hunt). It is a sombering place. It is about 15 miles north of Twin Falls.

Our second time here. We really like this place, although this time we were only allowed a two night stay because they were getting ready for the fair. Extremely easy in and out. And a secure place to base for seeing the sights of the Twin Falls area. Excellent Verizon signal to boot. Definitely will be back.

Because we'd usually rather be boondocking, we're all about cheap when we actually have to pay for a campsite. And if we're actually going to have to pay, we want the whole shebang -- 50A electric, water and sewer hookups -- because why pay for what we otherwise get for free? The Twin Falls County Fairgrounds delivers on both counts.
The RV Park is located on the east side of the fairgrounds and has 80 spaces with full hook-ups (water, sewer & 50 amp power); and 100 hook-up with (water & 30 amp power). Spaces with amenities cost $21.20, tax included per night, or $106 for a week (buy 5 nights/get 2 free). Dry camping with no amenities is available for $10.60, tax included per night. Maximum stay is 2 weeks. No reservations, everything is first-come, first-served.
Sites are located on grass, with dirt roads throughout the campground. Hookups for water, electric and sewer are located behind your RV. While the site itself is level, that makes it uphill for the sewer run so we wish that they had chosen a more traditional layout. Still, for this price I'm not complaining. Also, if the place actually filled up these sites would be crazy tight; however, during our visit July 2021 they're not even close to 50% capacity, so folks are leaving at least one site between themselves and their neighbors.
Cell signal strength and data speeds are solid on both Verizon and AT&T. We've been both working and streaming with no issues whatsoever.
There's a separate dump station on site with potable water. The bathrooms are individual units with showers, and are immaculate. If you arrive after hours you have to call the after-hours number on the sign, and James will come out and determine your site and collect your money (cash or check only). The campground occasionally closes for events held at the Fairgrounds, and in 2021 that's for two events. Check their website for details. There was a lot of activity during our stay including equestrian events and even a monster truck rally, so there's lots to keep you entertained while you're in the campground and not out exploring the Twin Falls area.
Filer is a tiny ranching community just west of Twin Falls. Campers will find the surprisingly complete M&W Market just down the street, along with a True Value Hardware. And all of the chains and big box stores are nearby in Twin Falls, only 7 miles away.
No livestock are allowed in RV area, but boarding is available in stables adjacent to the campground for $10 inside/$5 outside. Dogs are not allowed to roam freely and must be under supervision of their owner, either on a leash or kennel.
So when everything else was booked solid in July 2021, we found dirt cheap FHU sites aplenty at the Twin Falls County Fairgrounds!

As previous reviews have said, this place is a great stopover. The price is right for full hookups, the internet is strong, the host very friendly, partial shade and cool grass, quiet, all good!

I can't believe I traveled all the way here through all this farmland to find a big sign that says RV Park closed on the entrance!
