Better than average rest stop for RVs. Separate parking area for RVs so no constant car or truck traffic. Pull through spots. Overnight parking permitted. 8 hour limit loosely enforced. Free RV dump and fresh water. Clean restrooms.
What more could you ask for? Washington provides free water, a dump, a place to stay for the night...and coffee/tea/cookies?? Awesome :).
The entire complex is closed now as of 03/19/20
Coming back from a quick pandemic trip getaway and needed to dump our 30 gallon black tank. Dilemma - call Honeybucket/NWCascade and get a pump out or drive to a rest stop. Well, after getting a return email saying it would be 195.00 plus 55.00 charge if they weren't in our area, we decided a relatively short trip up the I-5 was in order because... FREE.99!!! Was it open? YES. Was there a line? NO. Was it clean? YES. Thank you WSDOT for helping keep us natural social distance folks in action. -Kristy
Nice! 3 spaces, water hose provided (although it’s pretty leaky so you can get sprayed with a little water). Water is on a 40 second timer with no cancel button so be ready when you push the button! All the ghosts were friendly.
Spent 2 evenings parked here while in the area for a while. There’s a lot of car parking but it’s typically around 80% full. Both nights, I parked in the RV section since my transit is rather long. There’s about 10 or so RV spots and truckers have their own lot. No issues while staying, pretty well lit. Like most spots in Washington, pretty sure half the people there live there, but no bother during my stays. Clean bathrooms and saw someone onsite both days picking up trash and cleaning. Wish people would use the trash cans 20 feet away rather than throw their trash in the lot.
Nice multi lane dump station.
A unique thing about this rest stop is that the RV parking is separate from the truck and car parking, but there were only about 10 spaces.
Closed. Washington State has closed most of the rest areas on I-5. The reasons center on vandalism by squatters and non - driveable derelict RV’s. Don’t count on any rest areas in WA for the foreseeable future.
Seems to close intermittently. It looked as if someone had an “accident” and tried to wash it down but otherwise is a good place to stop.
As of April 15, 2022 this rest stop, and it’s associated dumpsite, are closed. Apparently, this site is riddled by misuse, vandalism and nonfunctional RVs, I don’t blame the state for closing it.
