“Look. Learn. Create.”
Schack Art Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and celebrating the arts for the enhancement of community life. Founded more than 38 years ago as the Arts Council of Snohomish County, the Schack Art Center opened in April 2011 and was named for John and Idamae Schack, in honor of their steadfast support of Everett's cultural institutions. Today the Schack Art Center is the place to look at, learn about, and create art in our region. LOOK Inside the Schack Art Center, you find exhibit galleries with diverse artwork from locally and internationally known professional artists, as well as emerging young talents. Our main gallery also provides a first-class view into the world of glassblowing. Anytime we are open, you are welcome to watch this fascinating process while admiring the latest exhibit. LEARN Discover your inner artist, develop new skills, enjoy time with friends, or create gifts for loved ones in one of our many art classes for youth, teens, and adults. Schack Art Center is a first-class learning facility with four production studios that accommodate a wide variety of mediums. CREATE We offer a state-of-the-art hot shop that far exceeds industry standards for energy efficiency, conservation, and safety. Artists may rent our glassblowing or flame & kiln studios at competitive rates.
