We've stayed at Armitage Park a few times when we had to be in Eugene to get our trailer serviced. The sites are nicely spaced, and the park is clean. We enjoyed foraging for blackberries while we were there.

We stayed here after getting solar panels installed nearby in Springfield. The park is fairly small but well maintained (the machines in the laundry appear to be brand new!). The 37 sites are paved and level with full hookups. The park is very popular with locals and weekend anglers so reservations are recommended even in the off-season and certainly on the weekends.

Armitage also has a large dog park, games and picnic areas and a lovely trail that runs along the McKenzie river. The park is a few minutes up the road from several shopping centers and a Market of Choice grocery store.

This is a very popular county park within minutes to both Eugene and Coburg. The road the park sits on takes you directly to Trader Joes and plenty of other great grocery stores. If you are getting repairs done in Coburg, I think this would be a great staging area. The park is large with lots of grassy areas and an excellent off leash dog area. There are trails right along the river and bike lanes on the road adjacent to the park.

Each site has good separation with plenty of foliage and brush to keep it private feeling. The park also has recycling for those that need to get rid of whatever you may have accumulated. We really liked the brand new laundry facility that was also reasonably priced and did a great job of getting our clothes clean. The laundry building also has new showers and restrooms that offer private shower rooms with restrooms attached. They seemed very nice.

There is some highway noise that can be heard and heavy equipment noise occasionally through the day. But nothing that interfered, just a nuisance. This is a full hook-up park so you pay accordingly. I wish they had an electric/water only option to make it more affordable, but $30 seems to be the new $25.

PROS:
Very dog friendly
Easy biking nearby
Private sites with green everywhere
Easy access to I-5
Close to Eugene and Coburg
Solid cell service and usable wi-fi!

CONS:
A little expensive
Can be noisy

Roads are easy to navigate and sites are spaced nicely. Some sites might make it hard to get satellite if that's important to you. Good utilities, nice walking trail's along the river, great dog park, great location to tour the area from yet in a relatively quiet area.
Very popular so reservations are recommended. Our Verizon cell service showed 3G and bounced between 2 and 4 bars but worked fine.

Like most other reviewers, I stayed here for 3 days while I was having work done on the coach in various places around Eugene. It was completely packed, so it's a good thing I had reservations. The very large spaces are nice, along with quick and easy access to nearby shopping and restaurants. There were plenty of kids here, but unfortunately nothing much for them to do, so they mostly spend their time riding up and down the pathways. The place definitely needs a playground. There is some really good road biking nearby along the McKenzie river.

We will certainly stay here again next time we're in Eugene for RV work. There's not much of a draw to come here for much else, so it's not likely we'd come here again purely just to vacation.

We absolutely love Armitage! We first stayed here a few years ago and it's still our absolute fav place to stay in Eugene.

Sites are very spacious with full hookups (+ cable!) and a selection of either back-ins or pull-throughs. Great mix of both open and fully shaded choices. The surrounding park has large green lawns, day-use areas, a lovely 2-acre doggie park and direct access to the McKenzie river. In 2014 the park made the upgrade of adding a brand new laundromat ($2 per load) and showers which have raised the ratings and made it hard to beat in the area.

The only dings I could give this place? It's really popular so you've got to book ahead to get in, plus it does get *some* road noise from Coberg Rd/I-5 (mostly at the day-use area, the campsites are fairly quiet). Otherwise this is a top-notch place and one of the best County Parks we've encountered.

Note/ Free on-site WiFi, but we didn't find it usable. Somewhat variable Verizon (1 bar LTE), but it can easily be stabilized with a booster. 2 bars ATT LTE.

Very nice county park but when I was there in the fall, there was very little of that lovely looking green grass. As most, I was here getting service and it is very convenient for that. Q loved the large dog park and splashing in the river water. Didn't really need full hookups so I hate when I have to pay the price.

This is a wonderful place to stay, right on the McKenzie River, with walking trails and tons of green space. The sites are full hook-up, and there's also a bathroom and laundry facility. Our cell-based internet was slow at times, but it worked well enough, and we're pretty heavy internet users.

The only bit of trouble was the entrance was diverted through a parking lot when we arrived, making for some tight corners. Otherwise, all good with long spots and pleasant scenery out the window.

We made a reservation online so there was no check-in, we drove straight to our site. Our site was just long enough to fit the motorhome and toad. Fairly spacious between sites, some more than others. Utilities fine, WII FI not so fine(didn't work), Directv fine. Verizon had 4g 2 bars but sometimes our phones didn't work at all. Definite road noise from either Coburg Rd or Beltline but it quiets down at night. This is apparently a known high crime area; unbeknownst to us until my husband's bike was stolen in the middle of the night. Both of our bikes were on a bike rack secured with a kevlar cable. The thief(s) cut through the cable, and stole my husband's bike from the inside rack. For whatever reason, they left my bike. They are the same brand except one is for women and one is for men. So only $900 down the drain rather than double that &$#**. The only slight satisfaction is that my husband had previously removed all the bike pedals. So it must have been an interesting escape. The camphosts and sheriff were both pretty blasé about the whole deal. A) the campground needs security/cameras and B) campers should be made aware of the situation before arriving. Such a letdown! Anyway, there is lots of shopping but it is extremely busy – you feel like an ambulance chaser trying to find parking spots at Costco, Trader Joes or Winco. There are also many places to have your RV serviced which was the main reason we were here.

This was our first stop as new full timers and I can't imagine a better first experience. Clean park, lots of places to walk our dog, plenty of space in between spots, and friendly people.

We stayed two nights on a weekend, but despite a few campfires and a little loud laughter this place was quieter than the subdivision we used to live in (and the park was FULL).

Clean looking laundromat. Easy hookups. Nice and level. And as for theft, I was worried since we have very nice road bikes. They are locked into the truck toolbox, and we took the extra precaution of removing our seats the first night. Second night, my husband left his seat on and it was still there in the morning!

Didn't see any shady characters or activity either. Now, you should still take precautions and who can say whether our 3rd night we'd have issues...but we have over $2K worth of bikes that didn't get messed with. So that was our experience!!

Would definitely pick this spot again, as it was near the dumpster, laundry and the path down to the river trail!

Slight noise from I-5 but far enough away it was just white noise in the background. The bird song was much louder. 😉

Easy access from I-5, and plenty of stores and restaurants nearby.

I was able to stream Spotify, Hulu, get plenty of work done and upload several videos using our Verizon all day Thursday and Friday, no boost. Streaming did experience a little lag on Friday night.
