Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on May 21, 2023We stayed here on the way back from Broken Bow, Oklahoma as we returned to Tulsa with our new 5th wheel. The arrival experience was great (though driving through the front gate made me nervous because the opening was a bit tight). Our site was easy to get to, a spacious pull-thru with plenty of space for the truck and even a nice covered patio area. It rained almost the whole time we were there, so the covering was nice. We had 50 amp power which I really enjoyed as well. We were walking distance to a pretty good, clean bathrooom facility. The showers worked well. A small but acceptable park for our kid too.
We were also about 40 feet from the water and even a little beach area where we went to skip rocks.
Probably the largest negatives were that the grass was not mowed so we had to step pretty high to get around and we had to share water with the site next to us.
I would stay again if we were going through the area and would just try to plan to get a site where we had easier water access and were closer to the bathrooms.

We had a great time staying at Belle Starr. We originally booked appt C9 but then discovered there was no water access for the site. Having two kids under 4, water access is VERY important to us. We switched to C10 and it ended up being a great spot. We were right on the lake, we had amazing weather, and the grounds were nicely maintained. There were a few negatives, shared water being a big one. Many sites have the water spicket between them with the intention that you would share. I’ve never experienced this before but we new about the possibility ahead of time so we brought a hose splitter and and hose extension. If you don’t bring a hose extension it is very likely you won’t be able to reach the water! Because of the water access situation, many sites have two pads almost right on top of each other. If someone would have booked c11, our trailers would have been nose to nose and their picnic table would have been 5 feet from our kitchen window. Luckily the campground was not close to full so we didn’t have any direct neighbors the whole time we were there. I did use the restroom by the boat ramp and it was a hole and the ground that was pretty sick. The C loop where we were was near the boat ramp. It’s a good loop to be in and even though we were near the ramp, the traffic wasn’t crazy. We were walking distance to a swimming beach which my son loved. The area directly surrounding my site was all rocks so you can’t get down to the water unless you walk about 3 sites over. The W loop is a little older with less shade on the sites that are lakefront. A lot of larger rigs were parked in this area. The E loop was nice with a park for the kids and a good size beach area. The park on the E loop was an old school metal and wood playground that I grew up with. It could have used a little mowing attention but we still had fun. We also visited the newer plastic park on the C loop by the restrooms. Very well shaded and nice for my 3 year old. Fishing was good. Flys will get very bad if you don’t keep your camp tidy. The campground was also extremely quiet which was awesome! Overall this a great place to stay in this area OK. We will be back!

The not so good: Site needed some serious help for leveling, would have been nice to know in advance that we would need three hoses to get to water. Stickers in the grass, poor pup had to stay on the asphalt for most of the walks.
The good: Site was one of the more private. Great view over the lake, steps from the water. The stars at night were spectacular, very little city light. Fellow campers were considerate, quiet hours were well observed. Facilities were clean from my walk through.
We would stay at Lake Eufaula again but would probably try a different loop.

We stayed here just for the night. Got here around 9pm, much later than expected. Front gate staff still working until 10pm when the gates close. We got a spot a back in spot on the lake which was difficult to get into (doesn't help it being dark), couple of trees made it tight and the ground has a decent amount of sand on it. The biggest complaint we have is the water hookups, not every site has them even though the website says water and electric hookups. Most sites from what we could see has water to share between sites but you will need at least 2-3 connected water hoses to reach them! For one night it isn't the end of the world but still disappointing.
Everything else was pretty good though, bathrooms are pretty clean, the view of the lake is beautiful! There is a sandy beach area to swim close by. Picnic table, extra table bench and fireplace with grate at each site. Lots of ants around the site so careful with food.

Great COE on the lake. 3 different loops with varying sizes of sites. Paved roads and sites. Most have lake views. Older bath facilities in need of some repairs like paint, screens replaced etc but they were clean. Awesome sunsets, saw wildlife and people enjoying themselves. Fire rings. Covered pavilions for large gatherings. Electric (we had 50 amp) and water shared between sites (no water at a few sites), bring plenty of water hose. Easy enough to navigate even in our 44’ Class A. Expect to do a little leveling with boards. We had a long pull-through site. Playgrounds in each loop. A small swimming beach. Two dump stations one in the east loop and one at entry/exit.

A lot of nice spots. Tent camped in a site by the lake shore. West side of campground provides nice sunsets. Great Sprint cell service amazingly. Electric hookup at site was a little banged up.

In west section, each two sites have a shared water source that can be up to 75 feet from your site. I had 65 feet of hose and it was not enough. Water pressure was only 30 psi so I don't think a hose splitter will work. Sites are tight with some overhanging limbs. Most sites in the west section will not accommodate big rigs. Some sites have trees that could interfere with slides. Check-in was quick and easy, just stopped at the gate for a car pass. Many sites are on or near the lake with good views. My electric pedestal was old and my 30 amp plug did not want to stay in. Campground is on the low end of COE parks. If possible, reserve in C section, it is more modern and updated. Best sites are C22-32; pull thru, concrete pad, each site has close electric and water hookups, good view of lake.

Plenty of empty spots. Have to reserve online with Recreation.gov. Have geezer pass so campsite was half price. Nice views. Very quiet. Easy pull through sites and leveled. Hot showers available. Good cell for Verizon

Water is shared between campsites, so bring a splitter and at least 75ft of hose. Even then some sites are out of range, as was ours, so we filled the tank before parking and used the pump. Other than that, no problems at all. Plenty of birds--scissor-tailed flycatchers, Canadian geese, double-crested cormorants, and great blue herons in abundance. Plenty of shorelines to walk, though sand burrs/grass stickers kept getting into my dog's feet. You may want to bring some of those rubber dog shoes if you're going to walk along the shore.

Belle Starr is a federal campground, so a Senior Pass card gets you a 50% discount. Were stayed in C21, arguably the best site in the park, right on the lake. Our site had 50-amp service and electrical. Note that not all sites have 50-amp service so check into this when you reserve. Also, many sites would be difficult to level in a motorhome and many have overhead branches. C-loop sites are generally the best.
We did a walk around and listed sites we thought would work for our 38 foot coach: C57-C66 and C21-32.
There was no WiFi, but Verizon LTE was very good and reliable.
