Island House

We are located on Manasota Key; a barrier island with no traffic lights; only a one lane road separating the beautiful white sand beaches and Lemon Bay. The beaches are unspoiled; pristine; and absolutely breathtaking. There are lots of sanddollars; prehistoric sharks' teeth; and an amazing variety of shells. Within walking distance there is fine and casual dining; a convenience store; other shopping; and a boardwalk. Surf fishing is great; our guests have caught countless mackerel; trout; whiting; cobia; redfish; blues; and tarpon. We have a total of 6 apartments; 3 upstairs (only a dozen steps); 3 downstairs. The gulf front apartments are larger and have a more panoramic view; but all apartments have great views. Each apartment has a full size kitchen with full size appliances and a microwave; coffee maker; toaster; dishes; pots; cooking utensils; etc. All linens are provided. While our accommodations are not luxurious; they are clean; comfortable; and very enjoyable. All you need to bring is a beach towel; your bathing suit; & some sunscreen.
