Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on October 24, 2020We stayed for customer appreciation weekend this year. The sites are very expensive $70+ per night. We stayed here because it was a close campground near a wedding we were attending. The sites are very expensive, but right on the beach! Fun atmosphere! The beach is very dog friendly and beautiful. I liked the park, but would not stay here again based on price.

This was our first visit and won't be our last. We stayed mid March during the off-season, so the rates were affordable for a full-hookup site. We stayed in the Blue section, where our site was level and clean. All the facilities for us worked well and the bathhouse was clean. The staff is friendly and the groundskeepers were attentive. Beach access was incredible, with a short (1/4 ish) mile walk from our site to the beach. The boardwalk was lit well and nicely maintained. While we did not bring our dogs, the facility is dog friendly and dogs are allowed on the beach (leashed everywhere of course). We did not travel into the area much although we did take the kids to play putt putt golf, and they enjoyed the bounce house. Overall our stay here was enjoyed and we will be back again.

We have friends in the area and the convenience to them and the beach made this a win for us. The staff was very nice, professional, and extremely helpful. The park is jam packed and feels very tight. Not a mask on a person to be seen and that is important to us at this time in the world. It doesn't seem so difficult to don a mask in a public place, but alas. We would definitely camp here again, but keep to the yellow zone. The others were way too close together for us.
Access: easy off the 40 and past Camp Lejeune to Emerald Isle, and once on the island this is very easy in. They escort you to your site, and ours was in yellow, so fairly easy to get into because they are bigger sites in the yellow zone.
Location: Cannot be beat, right on the beach (on the other side of a large berm, so you don't see the ocean from the park, but you hear it)
Cleanliness: the park was clean, the bathrooms were clean, and they pick up the trash several times a day, which we v much appreciated. No one wore masks, which for us is a mark down from the cleanliness perspective. We don't want to give our germs to others and would prefer not to get theirs.
Site Quality: fair to good - grass for the most part, with dirt patches where many RVs have been parked. Ours was level but not all are.
Noise: The park is crowded and there is noise to go along with that. That said, nothing outrageous.
Cell service and wifi: terrible. Verizon and ATT were both low bars, and the camp wifi was very weak.

The sites are packed together even in the ‘off season’. They shut down all of the campground except the blue area. But that being said, who wants to spend time at your camper when you are at the beach! The campground is meticulously maintained and right on the beach. This is great for long walks with the dogs and just playing enjoying the beach. Another huge pulse is that the campground is on a bike trail that goes for miles and miles. We have a new to us motorhome and haven’t figured out if or how we want to tow a car. This was perfect. We biked everywhere. It is a great way to explore the island. WiFi was adequate for me to work. But I think in the summer with more people it might be a struggle.

We stayed on a “premium site” right next to the dunes, which provided easy and quick beach access. This placed us the farthest away from the office and the pool, but it was worth it. The staff was very accommodating, and Stacy was excellent at talking us through the kind of tight turns to get into our site. Food trucks nearby, music in the park. Lots to do, but we really enjoyed the fantastic beach. Will definitely go again. Cell service was spotty, and the WiFi was essentially non-existent.

Stayed here for the second time last week. The red section is close to the beach so the price reflects this. Check-in was smooth, staff is friendly and helpful, and will lead you to your site. Nice, clean facilities, but hot water was out at the red bathhouse during our stay (which meant either a cold shower or a walk to the blue bathhouse; did both; you can always use your onboard shower as well if you have one). Site was relatively flat so it was easy to level trailer. Water was clean and pressure was pretty good. Power was clean, but pedestal is low so surge protector lies on ground. The sites around this one (between the red bathhouse and the yellow/gold section) drain well, some in the areas farther from the beach do not. If you select a pull-through site where you turn right into it (as you head toward the beach), your awning will be on the side away from the beach and will receive less buffeting from the wind. Also, some of the sites have sewer connections that are uphill (!) from your rig, so be prepared (red 45 and 46 are downhill; others in line with these probably are, too). Overall, a very pleasant stay at the beach. With hotel room prices running $3-400 (!!) nowadays, these relatively expensive RV sites are still something of a bargain.
