“modern luxury with a country feel”
Braunig Lake RV Resort combines modern luxury with the wide open country feel of rural Texas. Conveniently located in San Antonio on Interstate 37 South at Exit 130 (3 miles south of Loop 410), we are just minutes south of downtown, the Alamo, the Riverwalk and the Alamo Dome. We are just a stone's throw from all the action at the Eagleford Shale. Reservations are required. The site rate includes: electricity, WiFi, cable, water, sewer and all sites have 50/30 amps. WiFi packages are available for those needing more broadband. Our amenities include a large laundry behind the office with 6 washers and 12 dryers, a smaller laundry on the "hill" with 2 washers and 4 dryers, and a "future" laundry to be built on the new "N" row.

Very large well maintained park right on I-37. Short stay sites are not very large but are easy to go in and out. 15mins to downtown. Close to shopping and restaurants.

Huge facility. Parking was not complicated and an escort was provided. He returned shortly afterwards to insure all was well. Very peaceful location. My hound (Millie) enjoyed the off-leash area and the large adjacent farm land even more. They have some very reasonably priced meal events starting in January. There are two nearby gas stations with minimal activity and easy access for larger rigs. This includes a wash bay for your rig. The site offered water, dump, electric, free wifi and cable. I travel with my own Verizon MIFI and could stream hulu and netflix in HD without buffer delays, so don't let the 3 LTE bars be a concern.

Park seems very clean. It is very large. Our site was a nice pull through. The wifi is great early in the morning but as more and more people log on it becomes pretty slow. No streaming for sure. Nice laundry. This was a good location for us to see all the San Antonio sites. Nearest groceries were about 5 miles north. Staff was very friendly. Lot of the visitors appear to be workers as there is early morning traffic that might wake late sleepers.

Nice access off of highway and close to San Antonia. Sites were way to close. Only about picnic table between trailers. As my wife stated, watch a guy scratch his belly while playing cards and it was not me. The people running the park were nice and the restrooms/showers were clean.

We chose this RV park because of passport america. It was a big park with a pond that had fishing in it and so we thought it would be good. It was supposed to be an easy drive into San Antonio and have amenities. We were hoping for the $20/night spot but those were taken by long term people I think.
When we first called the woman said that she wasn't at the computer so she couldn't quote us a price, but we had a reservation. I was a little concerned at first. It was smart, so instead of $20/night we ended up at $26 and that was with 50% off. We thought, okay we will pay more money for a nicer spot, we will be here for 5 nights. Thought was wrong. For the price this was a seriously terrible spot. We had no room whatsoever and nothing around us. The cement spot that was right out our door was also room for the RV's slide out next to us. If we had the door open we were looking into their living room. It was pull through so that was nice, but we didn't have a picnic table and the one next to us was on it's last leg. I was pretty upset for what we got.
The drive into San Antonio was easy but still around 20 minutes. The entrance to the highway was right out the entrance to the RV Park. The area was pretty quiet but at midnight every night a horn would go off. It sounded like a train but it was the same time every night and the same duration and it didn't sound like it was going anywhere. You get highway noise and truck stop noise, but didn't bother too much.
The two stars are for the cleanliness (trash cans everywhere that were kept clean and not over flowing) and the pull through spot. There was a small lake that had catch and release fishing with beautiful ducks everywhere. The showers looked like port a potty stalls that I wouldn't not have entered. The people there were nice.
In a pinch I would stay here again, but that would be a last resort. It just seemed really expensive for what you got.

We have gotten pretty spoiled with having great views, and this is definitely not a scenic area. (Thought the "lake" would be prettier). However, the weekly price was less expensive than most other areas and the staff was nice. Sites were closer together than we would have liked and it is pretty close to the highway. But it served its purpose to be near family in San Antonio for the week.

Level concrete pad, but the sights here are pretty cramped together (unless you upgrade to the "super premium" sites that are basically two sights together).
A bit pricey for what it is, but convenient to the National Parks and downtown San Antonio.

My spot was a pull through with a level concrete slab. Had 50 amp service and all utilities were conveniently located and easy to hook up. Very friendly and helpful staff, a staff member directs you to your site and explains where everything is located. The site has free wifi and has 3 high towers scattered about the campground for good connectivity. High enough that every site should have line of site to the antenna. The laundry room was nice with a good number of washers and dryers. The restrooms were by the office and were well kept with 2 showers in both restrooms. Only complaint on the showers was no place to sit while dressing and no hooks or shelfs in the showers to place your gear. All dumpsters were located together at one end of the park making it a good walk for some. The park has a 50 acre lake that is stocked and there is catch and release fishing allowed. There are several cabins available for rental on the lake. Park is close to I-37 but I couldn't hear any highway noise, just one train during evening hours. Close to food and fuel. Sites were a little close but not so close as to cause any issues with slides or awnings. We enjoyed our stay there and if in the area again, we stay there again. They do accept Passport America (which we used).

This park may have been great many years ago. In our opinion, it is run down and needs some work. To get to your site, you drive on older asphalt that is deteriorating. Most of the sites are not level, even with cement pads. The majority of the park are friendly long-time residents. The park is noisy as you are near a major highway and there are trains several times a day. They had good WiFi and because you were south of San Antonio, you many OTA TV channels. We had 3 bars LTE AT&T service. They did have both a swimming pool and a hot tub, but it was cold and raining most of the time we were there. This is a Passport America park, so we enjoyed the discount even on the double-wide site we had. If you visit San Antonio, make sure you tour the San Antonio Missions and in downtown, the River Walk and The Alamo. If we come through this area again, we would probably look for another RV Park.

Based on the condition of the park, not gated and not much going on, it’s pretty expensive.
We paid $48 per night even after GS discount. Honestly if we were in the area again and there were no other options we would stay again. I will say, the staff were super friendly and helpful.
I think we gave 3 star really is based on the price for the condition of the park. Yes
