June 29th, 2021: Info provided by WA DOT confirms that this Scenic Viewpoint has re-opened following a brief closure due to materials leaking from a truck. Overnight RV Parking is allowed; this is confirmed by multiple reports over theprevious 9 years. State of WA allows parking for up to 8 hours in rest areas & similar turnouts unless there is signage to the contrary. No signage relating to parking observed here. Viewpoint is on bluff overlooking I-82 & valley below, with a 15 mph curve on ramp to Viewpoint. Go past car spaces & around curve to Truck/RV spaces, which slope uphill somewhat from back to front. Unlit, appears safe, quiet unless trucks are parked as well. No amenities, not even a trash barrel.

Directions

On EB I-82 by signage (WB by compast), at ~ milepost 7 - 8, serving traffic moving this direction only. Exit to Viewpoint & follow curving roadway to top of hill, then small RVs that will fit in a single auto parking space park in thos spaces on L; longer RVs & RVs towing continue around curve to the R to long-vehicle spaces.
