Black History Gallery

The Gallery's mission is to provide a home and a focal point for the history and rich cultural heritage of Black Americans, so that we may preserve and share these experiences with our visitors.  In many cases, American history books exclude the accomplishments of Black Americans. As you walk through the gallery and browse through our collection of photos, articles and biographies you will come to appreciate many of the untold stories, memories, achievements and contributions of the countless number of great Black Americans.  Our Gallery includes Black Americans from a wide array of lifestyles and professions, including courageous pioneers, talented artists and entertainers, significant scientists and inventors, prominent civil rights leaders, sports heroes, notable writers, distinguished educators and eminent religious leaders. You will experience history, perhaps as you never have before from the perspective of Black Americans.
