Mosida Handcart Trek Site at Elberta Valley Ag: The Mosida handcart trek site is located 8 miles north of the little town of Elberta, Utah, just east of the Tintic Mountains. We are on the southwestern edge of Utah Lake and are part of the Elberta Valley Ag dairy/farm property owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We are open year round for a variety of Church sponsored activities such as Handcart Trekking, Fathers/Sons outings, Relief Society & Young Women’s Retreats, Girls Camp, YM and YSA Activities. We also have a variety of Eagle Scout projects available. Our new trails and Lodge make these activities possible. We are surrounded by wildlife, the beauty of the lake, mountains and summer crops.   Handcart Treks and Retreats: Mosida offers handcart pulls and treks from 4 miles to 21 miles in length. We have 50 handcarts available for trekking on site. The trekking trails take you through the marsh reeds and tamarisk by the lake and through miles of sagebrush/greasewood and sand. THERE ARE FIVE ENCAMPMENT AREAS ALONG THE ROUTE. The missionaries offer Square Dancing, Pioneer Stories, Mail Delivery, The Women’s Pull and a River Crossing. We also offer a 1 day Trek for 12-13 yr. olds.
