Sun Outdoors Paso Robles

This is a brand new RV resort, half of it still under . The half that is open, holy moly is awesome. Our site was back-in, crushed rock with concrete patio, FHU’s, and clear sky for satellite reception. Family style resort, has a restaurant, playground, beautiful pool area, BBQ area with games/activities for the kids (corn hole, oversized chess, oversized Jenga. Two bocce ball courts, large dog run yard, bicycle rentals, golf cart rentals, small store in check-in center, and rental cabins are just a few of the amenities. They also look like they run a wine tasting van to local wineries. The rate listed was for a 28 day stay (that is their stay limit). We are full time RVers, for the past 6 years & having covered all of the lower 48, this is one of the best RV parks nationwide!

Stayed Aug of 2018 on a promotional deal of $199 for three nights over a weekend. This resort is clean and well layed out. Sites are level and well groomed. Access roads are paved and site access is very easy. Even the back-ins. Easy access to water, electric and cable pedestal. Each site has a portable fire pit a picnic table on a concrete pad. Free acces to Internet with a speed of less than 2 mbps, which is upgradable for a fee. Two pools, one regular and one lap, community room, laundry, etc. We arrived one and a half hours before the two o'clock check-in time, but it wasn't an issue. Staff was friendly and informative, explaining all the amenities available. Since the park is new, there isn't a whole lot of shade available. There are a few pre-existing mature trees, but they are few and far between. Nice park, would stay again.

This was our second visit and we got a spot next to a cabin as friends stayed in the cabin.

All spots are level, super clean, and with all of the amenities. No shade yet as landscaping is brand new.

The main pool had lots of kids, but the lap pool was empty and made for a great afternoon swim.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Everything is super clean, and we love the location close to Paso Robles wineries.

This was our 1st time using our RV 18” trailer. This place was fabulous. Easy check in, easy set up and great, clean facilities. I wish we could have stayed a few nights to take advantage of the wine tasting, live music, etc. We will definitely be back.

Too expensive and boring for retirees, in my opinion. It’s a shame too, because someone sunk a lot of money setting up nice sites but the rate I paid was for the least expensive site with a 1st time camper’s discount and nothing discounted for off season and lack of full time services. I felt like I was subsidizing empty spaces during the week.

AT&T coverage varies by site. I was at the bottom of the hill with 1 bar. WiFi was also poor. At $973/mo I felt I deserved better.

We booked way ahead for 28 days at $58 a night and arrived a few days before Labor Day and the resort filled up for the weekend which we expected. There was a power outage for two nights in our area and we needed our generator because it was really hot. The resort emptied out this morning on Labor Day. Today the lap pool was not looking good and maybe it was because of the power outage but it looks like algae to me so we stayed out of it and let management know there is a problem. Maintenance checked it out and called the pool guys who will probably address it tomorrow, in the interim, I requested an upgrade to a site closer to facilities since Nickie has trouble walking long distances. Instead of honoring my request they comped us for one night at the daily rate of $100 for the power outage. Which they also did for the weekend warriors. But they lost the opportunity to please a long stay customer

Best dog park! We have four legged family members and the dog parks were wonderful! Still don’t understand why ppl dont pick up after their dogs when poop bags are offered? Family pool was gorgeous with access for disabled in wheelchairs. Ppl save chairs and don’t shower before they enter pool but what can you do? Grounds were clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and courteous. Big sites with fire pits and picnic table. Can’t wait until the trees are fully grown for much needed shade then it would be a 5 star.

This rv park is gorgeous, lots of space in between, parking for 2 vehicles, lots of amenities. The cons are major! The airport nearby ruins this park. The planes go right above the park for takeoff and some landing .
I mean, it sounds like the runway!!!! Super loud right above the rv park! It ruined our stay! And the second con is it’s expensive!
We spent over $1,300 for 15 days in July.
And we put “no” if we would camp here again because we wanted “maybe” but not a definite yes bc of the planes.

We enjoyed this park thoroughly and plan to return again.

For our first trip in our new trailer, this place was great. Check in was really quick, and the staff was very accommodating. The sites are spacious and clean. We will definitely go back, when it’s not 107 degrees out. Sites 302 - 332 have grass behind them, which would be nice for kids & pets. I would recommend sites 137 - 147 for a more secluded feel, with a view overlooking the resort. My only complaints would be the price and lack of shade, which are both understandable for being a newer/larger RV resort.
