Ended up staying here after leaving another local park that wasn’t up to par. The security staff who manage RV overnight guests were super helpful and the casino grounds and lot are very nice. Obviously no hookups or anything but the price is right and beats staying at Wally World.
Friendly security and there are staff whizzing around in golf carts all day. The parking lot is angled for rain drainage and is the most severe angle I have had to deal with so I am not level at all!
It is a bit out of the way and you will need gps to come and go. Nowhere near the freeways etc. Nice drive. Nice casino and they are building a new casino to open in 2019.
A bit noisy during the day and into the evening, but quiets down later...
At midnight some robo-cop on a golf cart came driving around the parking lot kicking out people overnight parking + when I say kicking people out - he’s only knocking on Campers + RV’s. We’ve NEVER had a problem staying overnight at casinos until Sycuan. We always make sure we go into the casino, get a players card & enjoy the food & drinks. So we ignored the Robo-cops wake up call at 12am.
Once 3am hit, he came back around to knock
On the door & tell us to leave. He said there is a new rule that came out in March that states “no more overnight parking.” I asked him to please show me where this new rule is written because this seems a little unfair and unnecessary for a slow Tuesday night. Robo cop didn’t have the copy of this rule, so I asked him to please call someone who did.
We waited for the chief of security to come & sort this all out. After stating our situation and that we had spent time & money in the casino today, on top of the fact the parking lot was COMPLETELY EMPTY, he let us stay.

If you have to choose a casino in San Diego, I’d choose Viejas over any.
We have stayed here twice now when in San Diego. I didn't review the first time but I saw the previous review that there had been an issue with security.
Since there are not many casino's in the area we figured we would give it a try. Upon arrival we parked in the overflow lot up on the hill.
We went to the Concierge desk and gave them our name, phone number and where we were parking. She checked with security and they had no issues with us parking up here.
On our way out we saw a security guard and checked with him as well. No issues with us staying overnight. We parked in the very back of the overflow parking lot as it was the most level area, which ended up being a nice quiet night!
Staff was all very friendly and helpful. They have a buffet, several restaurants, Starbucks and a food court type of area. The casino has both non smoking and smoking areas. Also check out the lazy river in the pool area. It wasn't opened while we were here, but if it had been we would have gotten a day pass.
You can only park your RV overnight if you pay for a hotel room.
