Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on March 26, 2023The resort's roads and sites are paved, though they're having some issues with the pavement but it's still a solid surface, better than most places I've stayed. The landscaping is desert, don't expect shade or cover from wind. My site is large and level, which appears typical. The bathrooms, laundry facility and clubhouse are clean and attractive. There is access to the Colorado river. The office staff is pleasant and helpful, As of this date the laundry room is not fully equipped. The dryers haven't arrived yet so they let guests use the single industrial (double sized) dryer. The laundry uses "Wash" payment service. Good AT&T 5G service. The freeway is in the distance and can be heard, I am not bothered by it.

This place opened for business in Jan 2023. Someone is investing a lot to build a luxury RV resort in the desert. The restrooms/showers are first rate—as you’d expect after being used for only a few weeks. Club house/pool/gym facility is spotless and luxurious. Staff at check in was super friendly.
We stayed on a very windy night and the desert dust was flying everywhere. They are still working on landscaping, but have a long way to go before it looks finished. I hope the landscaping will cut down on some of the dust when they’re done.

Brand new site (opened in January). We found it while looking for a place to spend one night as part of a longer trip. If I had known about this place earlier I would have planned a longer stay. Great facilities and staff have been excellent.
Verizon coverage is very poor, but camp wifi is excellent.

This was my first visit and it sure me how desert like it was. Not a single tree or bush until you get up close and see baby saplings planted.
The road ways and sites are solid and the utility infrastructure is well designed. There is a lovely clubhouse and pool area which will be a great asset when the park is complete.
The location next to the Colorado River Canal is very nice and I can imagine how enjoyable the beach/ shore will be fun for the family. Overall it has great potential in a year's time when the landscape is complete.
I will definitely come back regularly to see the progress.

I really like the layout of the RV Resorts from CRR. "Enough" space, not a real packed in feeling, nice clubhouse and small fitness area, etc. Electricity was solid except for glitches in a couple wind storms. Water was good. I mainly depend Starlink for internet connectivity (which worked well); but the resort wifi system appears to be a very good mesh system. A few days before I left they finished their laundry with dryers.
They use that for their equivalent of guest cable tv access. Just connect to the wifi network and goto a specific address. And there is a whole list of DirecTV channels to stream.
It will be interesting to see the resort say 10 years from now when the landscaping is grown in and the issues with the new "natural paving" are smoothed out.
Walks by the river are nice.
Sometimes there are military planes flying up and down the river (I assume from Yuma to the military area outside of Las Vegas). Sometimes they did some fancy rolls at speed above us.

This is a big parking lot with defined sites that have full hook ups. I got the feeling that the developer tried to cut corners in every respect. One of the people in our group said, "They sure didn't spend extra for trees!" I'm not sure how they surfaced the roads and sites - perhaps oil? Whatever they used, it's deteriorating quickly. The area was quiet and the utilities worked. It's OK for a quick overnight, but I wasn't impressed.

We were at this property with the Arizona Airstream club. 80 people.
When the venue was selected permission were made so expectations were high.
The venue was under constant construction with no service so to speak of. We made our own fun as a group but can’t say we enjoyed the park.

We stayed at River Sands RV Resort as part of a Fulltime Families Rally. We were given a special rate and stayed for a full month.
The campground is brand new and a few parts are still under construction. The sites are all large and the roads are easy to manage.
There is a fishing pond, a small playground for kids, a large clubhouse with games (pool, foosball, air hockey, etc) and a small gym, a heated pool, and direct access to the Colorado River.

Great new resort with great amenities and super location right on the Colorado River. Beautiful club house with gym, lots of game tables, room to work, and pool and hot tub.

We spent mothers day weekend 2023 at the resort and just loved it. We have stayed at their sister resort Verde Ranch in Camp Verde, AZ before and enjoyed ourselves many times.
We were greeted upon arrival at the River Sands by Lou the new GM. He made us feel welcome and checked on us several times when we saw him over the weekend. The beach area at the river was an unexpected surprise and the pool/gameroom was top notch. We will definitely be coming back. Thanks Lou!!!
