Nice little spot right on the river. Mostly boaters and fishermen camping here, I think. I came in at 4:30 on Saturday July 2nd and got the last campsite available. $10 self pay. Verizon phone and wifi are working fine for me. No access issues, very easy, but a lot of road noise, if that bothers you. Definitely a real campgroundy kind of campground. Rugged enough but not too much. Picnic table and metal grills.

After driving hours to get there we found only one very sloped and trash covered site we couldn’t fit into. There were others that were bigger but full of run down rigs with expired site tags. Vault toilets were unmaintained. Grass heavily overgrown and narrow road ways.

It's not free. I don't recall the amount it actually was, but you are supposed to pay. There's instructions and a station to do so. Watch out- there was a wasp nest or a bee nest right there on it. I guess people aren't paying as they should.
It's SMALL. Only about 4 or 5 sites available, so you could risk arriving and not having anywhere to stay. It's definitely used a lot by locals who don't have anywhere else to stay, living in tents and vehicles. Noone bothered me. Nice guy across from me, in fact, if a bit talkative.
It's right on the highway, so yeah, noisy. I ONLY stay in campgrounds out of necessity, I boondock 99% of the time.
Hence, I found out that there was boondocking just up the road and I left the next day even though I paid for three nights.
I won't stay here again because I hate paying for campgrounds, there's a good chance you won't get a spot, and there's boondocking nearby.
I don't recall internet, but must have worked Verizon, or I couldn't have stayed.
You CAN turn around at the end of the little street, though it may be a bit tight. There's a loop at the end.

Not a good spot for a fifth wheel, rutted tiny road with two spots to fit a large rig. Agreed that the sites were left with lots of trash. No level site to be found. Also, agree with other reviewer that some of the sites seemed to be “lived in”. I would not intentionally come here. My husband got tired on our drive so we stopped for the night and for that purpose it was excellent and right off the highway 70. There is one site that seems excitingly to have electric but it was not working. This is on the Eagle River not Colorado River like other reviewer suggested. Pretty site but loud with highway noise. If you are a fly fisher person I’d give it 5 stars. For the rest of us 2 stars for a large rig.

Follow directions and you will find it. It is along the water. 7 campsites on the right and a day parking lot on right. The vault toilet had plenty of toilet paper. There are no lights on the camp ground so you have a great view of the stairs. You can hear traffic but we used this for just a place to spend the night and get back in I70 so it was perfect. I would stay there again. Our site also was level.

Clean vault toilet with lots of toilet paper. Easy to get to if you follow directions. No lights so you can see the stars at night. You do hear I70 but you can also hear the river. I would stay here again.

This part of Colorado doesn't have too many options as far as campgrounds go so we were so happy to have this boondocking spot available. The campground has 6 campsites (no hook-ups) and they are on a first come first serve system. They normally cost $10 per night but with your national park pass it's only $5. Warning: Big rigs could have problems here. We are a 35ft 5th wheel and could fit into 2 of the spots, but getting in is tricky because the road and the sites are tight. We made it, but it took some time. The road into the campground can be loud during the day since this is also an access area for the river. There are valt toilets and a dumpster. There is no water here so you'll need to fill before arrival
