The new restroom building opened 12/1/2020. Very nice and clean. Noise is a bit of an issue, but not too bad. If you are practically parking in the median, there is obvioisly noise from the road and trucks parking. We got there at 5 pm with plenty of space. In the morning there were few more vehicles, but still empty spaces, all parallel parking. Great place to stop for the night. We will do it again for sure.

Very nice n clean restrooms. The noise from passing trucks gets a lil much, but you r in the median so it should be expected. Only two trucks when we arrived at midnight, but a welcome spot to rest our weary heads from the days drive. I would highly recommend this place.

We found this little rest stop on our way north to the panhandle in a rather remote area. We were preparing ourselves for having to boondocks at a gas station when this popped up on Campendium and we’re so glad we found it. The building appears to be brand new, very nice. The restrooms were extremely clean. You can hear traffic but nothing compared to busier highways we’ve stopped near. The employee on staff the next morning was super friendly.

Middle of the highway median area looked a little suspect on the map, but pleasantly surprised to find this amazing jewel in the middle of a green space. Very well done and maintained. Be sure to check out the new information center with diorama of Paint Rock pictographs, historical information, and a great Forts of Texas map.
Facilities were extremely clean and easily accessible.
Plenty of room for parking, picnic, and dog walking.
Restrooms, picnic areas, car, large Rv and truck parking, vending machines and lots of security cameras and lights
We stayed here after driving all day and having cancelled our Boomers Welcome (our arrival was too late). It was easy to access since it was on the median, and it was clean. Although I was first skeptical, it turned out to be really quiet overnight.
The facilities and parking lot were both clean and well kept. The only reason this is not a 5 stars is because the parking could be better, you can only park on the sides…I’ve been to rest stops where they have parking designated for RVs on the side and I loved that set up.
