“Oahu's most popular beach”
Hawaiian for "Sprouting Water", Waikiki Beach is host to more than 4 million visitors every year. The two mile stretch of white sand coast is filled with hotels and tourist attractions. The beach is excellent for swimming, surfing, boating, and much more. Whether you want to lay in the sun or splash in the water, there's something for everyone at Waikiki Beach.
Ah, Waikiki Beach...what can I say about the world's most famous beach that hasn't already been sung about by Elvis? Well, Waikiki Beach is actually pretty rad. Honestly. I know it's super touristy, but there's still something really charming about it. Everyone is super friendly. All the shop owners, the locals, seriously, everyone is happy. And why wouldn't they be, they're in Hawaii!! Waikiki Beach has loads of great places to eat. For American fare, Hawaiian food and lots of Japanese restaurants, and I'm talking authentic Japanese restaurants. Great shopping. Tons of beach bars. And what I loved doing when I lived in Hawaii was get off the plane, drop off my luggage at home and then hit up Waikiki for a mai tai on the beach and dip my toes into the warm Hawaiian water. Dammit. I miss Hawaii so much. :(
