We knew we wanted to visit Crater Lake, but were warned the campgrounds in the park were a little small. Having checked the NP campground out when we were there I don't think we would have had any problem getting in. Diamond Lake is not too far from the park and in hindsight I think is a better location than actually being in the park.

The North Entrance to Crater Lake is 13 miles away. Diamond Lake itself is very pretty, and has a great bike trail all the way around it. There is a pizza place just a short walk from the RV park that also serves local craft beer and fills growlers. There is also a resort with a restaurant a few miles up the road. This is a remote area. There is tons of scenery and great hiking etc, but no stores or good restaurants, stock up before you come.

The sites are some of the roomiest sites we have seen at an RV park. We were in the loop at the back of the park which has more of a campground feel than the sites at the front.

The whole Crater Lake area is a Cell Coverage blackspot. No AT&T or Verizon for the whole week we were there. The park had slow WiFi. They have a decent DVD library which we used as no chance to stream anything out here.

The staff here were great. Super friendly. The owner helped us back our trailer into the spot. He was amazing I wish I could fold him up, put him in the truck and pull him out at every back up.

I've been camping at Diamond Lake for over 40 years and it remains a favorite. Diamond Lake RV is across the road from South Shore Pizza and convenient to the entrance to Crater Lake National Park. It's a nice walk or bike ride to the main resort where you can rent boats, kayaks, and paddle boards.

The staff was very friendly even though we camped on the very busy 4th of July weekend. Noise from campers playing music was an annoyance but as soon as we asked the staff to have it turned down the campers responded right away.

Great greeting at the front desk with a guide to our site. The guide was much appreciated as we were tired from the drive. There is a very short downhill walk to a pleasant pizza parlor and a lakeside dock. The staff were pleasant and very happy to chat and help with local information.

Had a really nice experience with campgrounds. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Park is close to Crater lake north entrance and across from Diamond Lake. Near lodge and marina. The park is also close to some great waterfalls. It was hard adjusting to no type of service i.e. Cell, internet or tv. Wouldn't bring teenagers here for any extended stay. Sites were pretty spacious and well kept with pit in ground for fires.

Nice and quiet park. Great location to Diamond Lake. It was just across the street and within walking distance. Close to Crater National Park. The cell reception here is not ideal. I used my signal booster and was able to work comfortably with 3 bars for Visible. Did not check out the showers or bathrooms.

Well run RV campground, each guest is escorted by a 'follow me' golf cart to their site, and the RV host stayed long enough to explain amenities, and make sure any questions were answered. There is essentially no campground WiFi (limited dial-up connections, but very few to allow use to), and virtually no cell service, a situation which covers most of that side of the lake, including through the resort down the road. Every once in awhile, we'd get one bar, and a few text messages would get through. So, if you want to truly be disconnected, this is the place. Even with an Insty_Connect cellular internet device, couldn't get anything. Bathrooms very clean. Diamond Lake is very pretty. Lot's of hiking opportunities in the area. Plenty close to Crater Lake to make the location good for a relatively short trip into Crater Lake. There were fires when we were there, which limited some views, mostly the day we attempted Crater Lake; couldn't see anything. Our site was a pull-thru, relatively level, full-hookups, 50 amp. There is a pizza place on the lake thru a path from the campground, pricey, but with no other restaurant options, useful. Take note, the nearest full grocery story is more than 45 miles away ! So, word to the wise, plan ahead, and buy groceries on the way in. There is diesel and other gas at a small station up from the resort, but also pricey [and nearest gas station otherwise is 45 miles away]

This is a rustic park in a very good way! The staff was very helpful at check in, providing a staff member to help with the back in. Normally I don't need this, but the space was a little tight with trees, so my wife was glad to have the additional help.

Lots of birds, bats and furry critters to keep you entertained!

The park went completely quiet at 9:00 PM, so a peaceful night was enjoyed both nights.

About a 20 minute drive to Crater Lake.

The spaces were fairly large gravel pads with plenty of room between rigs. Ours (W-16) had a pretty good slope from front to rear, so much so that we could not use one of our rear stabilizers. Not a big deal.

What really made this place shine was the staff! They made unobtrusive passes through the park and were always available to answer questions or help in any way they could.

On our check out day I discovered I lost the receiver hitch pin. DOH! The staff helped us track one down in the middle of nowhere. The nearest town that may have had one is at least 70 miles away. When we were hooking up, a staff member rolled up to check on us to make sure we were OK.
Then after we got all set to go, I discovered my breakaway brake switch had failed after pulling partway out of our space. The same staff member came back after he helped with a back in to trouble shoot the problem. He spent at least 45 minutes messing with it. We finally came up with a temporary fix to get us on the road.

All was done with a friendly attitude, a smile and a laugh!

We ended up checking out an hour late, and were invited to come on back anytime, even after being a pain in the butt!

I did not get the staff members name, but he was an older guy who looked like he could have played linebacker with the 1975 Chicago Bears. A real pleasant, good nature guy! He was not exception. All the staff was same!

We will stay there again!

2nd stay here. Staff was much friendlier compared to 2 years ago!
Sites are spacious and the full hookups are awesome.
We rode our E-bikes out of the park on the paved trail around Diamond Lake, enjoyed the resort restaurant, and took a day to visit Crater Lake.
The only thing that keeps us from giving 5 stars is the number of critters in the park… gophers, chipmunks, squirrels, birds, etc. you don’t dare leave any food out unattended!

Nice, rustic rv park by Diamond Lake. Quiet. Our site was tight but it looked like most sites were spacious and there is space between neighbors for the most part. We had a distant view of the lake, which was nice. Laundry room was great. Didn’t use showers or restrooms so can’t review those. There are plenty of chipmunks running around the campground. They didn’t bother us and we enjoyed the free entertainment. They are very lively in the morning and retire to their burrows before sunset. Just keep your food picked up and don’t leave anything on the picnic table or you will have new furry friends. 😊. Great pizza place we walked to from camp and it was great. Recommend. They are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We stayed 3 nights. We would stay again for sure. Office was very nice and helpful at checkin. My only other comment would be to keep the length of weeds and grass shorter around camp.
