“Location for the alien landing site”
In the film Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Devils Tower is used as the meeting point with aliens visiting planet earth. While you may not be abducted (darn it!) visiting this geological feature, you can at least put up the famous Curwen hand signs, and maybe, just maybe, someone will return it and smile.

Very cool. Just An amazing site. To get into the park for a 'super close' look was okay - but agree pricey if just paying for a look. Suggest buying the national park pass - for $80 you can spend a year seeing a bunch of stuff (like this, Rushmore). We just bought the pass at the Devil's Tower gatehouse.
Was super cool seeing this, but did not see a reason to pay $15 for a "closer" look at it.
