Camp in full view of Devils Tower. Large pull through sites. Flush toilets a plus in this rustic setting. The campgrounds nearly filled by evening of Sept 23, 2021.

We picked this site for the full afternoon sun exposure on the roof top solar panels. The campground was clean, spacious and great view. The location was convenient to the trail system.

This spot was so beautiful, with views of Devil's Tower from the whole campground. We got here on a Friday evening around 7:00 in early October and only one of the 2 loops was open due to construction on the other loop. The open loop was full already but the camp host was kind enough to open up the closed loop for us to stay the one night.

The campground is first come, first served, and now only accept credit or debit card as payment. Access to the trails from campground with best views of the tower from Joyner ridge trail. I’m driving ms lazy to the next adventure.

What a great campground. We've been planning our trip for months and had hoped to be able to stay right at the National Monument. We arrive about 1:30 pm on Wednesday and the CG was less than 1/2 full so we had our pick of sites. A12 gave us a great view of the tower and was quite private.
The CG filled up by around 8:00 pm but was nearly emptied out by 11:00 am. The camp host told us that a lot of people use this as a stopover to other locations (Yellowstone or the Black Hills).
The grounds were well maintained and the bathrooms clean. There are no utilities at the sites so boondocking is a must.

Camped at the base of Devil’s Tower with a fantastic view from our site. Very easy access and drive through campsites. Clean bathrooms and water available. Prairie dog village next to campground. Campground is in the trees but we received enough sunshine to charge our batteries. Two miles drive or walk to the base of the tower. Sites were $20.00 but only $10.00 with a Senior National Parks pass. Free firewood too.

Of all the locations we’ve visited, this is the most serine. Very quiet and beautiful. No road noise and zero trains running by. Every site from Utah, to Idaho and Montana there has been Hwy noise and trains that run all night as most campgrounds are right off the freeway and rail lines also follow these routes…. Total silence last night here at Devil’s Tower. Just song birds this morning. I got a big 35’ 5th wheel and it’s a bit tricky maneuvering around, but it’s doable.

We rolled in on Friday around lunchtime and had many sites to choose from. We were extremely happy with the one we picked because it was right next to the trail and we had a view of Devils Tower from our campfire.
Throughout the weekend, it did not seem like the campground was completely full at any time.
Verizon service was a bit spotty. Especially midday on the weekend when many people were visiting for the day. Off peak times you’ll be able to do emails and browsing without issue, but may have trouble with calls and streaming. No AT&T coverage.
If you need a dump station, the KOA will not let you use it unless you are a guest. Generators are allowed at certain hours. There are water spigots on site if you need to fill up a water jug.
