“perfect place to start a walking tour ”
Historically known as the Red Rocks Pueblo, the Trading Post is a great place to shop for unique Red Rocks souvenirs. Browse our large selection of outerwear and historical memorabilia including park and amphitheatre history books and CDs capturing live tracks from some of Red Rocks greatest performers. The Trading Post is also the perfect place to start a walking tour of the park. The structure, designed by W.R. Rosche, was constructed in 1931 and has a breathtaking view of the valley and rock formations to the south. The 1.4 mile Trading Post trail winds thought the spectacular Fountain and Lyons formations with a narrow, rough surface that follows moderate to steep terrain.
This place is filled with t-shirts and a lot of other tourist paraphernalia. It's a central place to start a hike through the park though, and when a band is playing Red Rocks you can usually see their roadies loading and unloading gear near here.
