Really incredible museum. They have loads of different exhibits to keep you entertained for hours. I could have spent all day in the rocks and minerals exhibit. They do a great job of keeping things interesting for adults and young kids alike. It was a well spent $13 for a days entertainment.
My mom used to take me and my sister here two or three times a month when we were in preschool, and we always went when out-of-town family came to visit. It's a really great museum with incredible exhibits, interactive areas, an iMax theater, a planetarium, and lots of food options in the T-Rex Cafe. Definitely worth making a day of it, especially if you have kids.
My sister took me to this Museum when I was 5'. I'm 68 now and this is still the best museum I have been to.
It was such a great museum that entertains adults as well as children. They keep everything clean and updated. The interactive exhibits were definitely nice especially for our 2 year old. The amount of artifacts they have is also impressive. I would recommend spending at least 3-4 hours here. The have traveling exhibits as well but those are extra.
Wish we would’ve gotten there first thing in the morning! Then we could’ve spent literally the whole day here! Clean bathrooms, water fountains, even a café to buy food. Pretty expensive and I wish we could have seen the planetarium (extra cost).
Great place for kids. Lots to learn and plenty of hands on activities. My only complaint is that half the exhibits require additional tickets for entrance. Felt like we were being nickel and dimed.
Expensive, but a great exhibition of local and global science. You'll see taxidermy of many animals around the world over with special attention to Colorado. Gemstone exhibit is neat!
What a wonderful museum!
This was definitely a highlight of my family's trip to Denver! We absolutely loved this museum. They had some fantastic exhibits and everyone had lots of fun. It had amazing preservation and lots of interactive things for the kids. Parking was a hassle on Friday but my group ended up parking a little further away and walking through the beautiful park. They have underground parking that has spots for electric and hybrid vehicles so if you have one of those you will definitely find a spot. Overall a great experience.
This really is a great museum. We go all the time....so much to see and do everytime! They have free days often and while those can get crowded they usually have extra stuff going on for the kiddos...last time it was face painting. Be sure to keep an eye out for Dino Dan.
