We called the store and requested permission to stay overnight. They said OK but we have to park at the end of the store where the auto service area is located. Good enough. We parked on the end of the store in one of the 8 spaces marked as "RV Parking Only". We have a fire lane on the passenger side of us and 7 spaces to the drivers side. There is a toy trailer parked on the fire lane on the passenger side and a truck on the driver side with a constantly running engine on a cooler for his cargo. One of the 8 spots is empty and the remaining 4 spots are occupied by either tractor only or tractors pulling trailers. There appears to be no enforcement of the store rules and we will not return, It is 9 PM and I am going to see if another place can be found.
We stayed on Dec 31st (New Years) and it was super quiet except at mid-night. Only two other RVs in the 8 slots marked 'RV Parking'.
The RV parking area was in front of their auto service area so it was not on a busy road so no road noise.
And no semi's came in during the night.
Lots of restaurants in walking distance so we went out for pizza, which was super!
We had a great experience at this Walmart.
Felt safe, even though store closes at 11pm. I did not ask if I could stay since there were several other trucks and vans in the lot.
There are several large, marked spots on the side of the building near the garden center. Rudy’s BBQ is next door. This is a very convenient place to stay for a night or two
Was a wiz to locate and park. Around 10 marked spots for big rig rv and toad. Easy in and out. Nice store.
Stayed Nov 2022 and ended up staying overnight plus into the next afternoon as our son got really sick overnight. Nobody questioned us about being there even that long. There are big rv spots that are level. Not enough space if you have slide outs - you’ll have to take up 2 spots or get a coveted end spot to park across the line. But there were plenty of spots. There were shipping containers at the back end of the spaces so make sure to pull all the way forward. We fit just fine with a super duty F250 plus 38’ TT. Good standard Super Walmart.
Walmart in Del Rio Texas, spaces specifically marked for RV parking, a quiet area to the south of the store, level enough, lots of room for our 40' motorhome and towed Jeep. Easy to stock up on a few supplies, restaurants nearby, and no trucks parked more than a few minutes, so we enjoyed a quiet evening for sleeping. Because of the eclipse, other RV Parks in the area had no vacancies. When passing here again, this is a top choice for an overnight stay.
