The campground is nestled in the valleys outside of Deadwood, South Dakota, and has easy access via paved interstate in either direction. There is a good climb/descent in both directions either to/from Rapid City and Deadwood. The campground is extremely tight, you will be on top of each other. Our slides were over our and our neighbors fire pit on each side. Power was stable. The shower house and laundry seemed clean, even with all of the rain we had during the week. Accessing the "last entrance" as it is called was dicey because the humps need to be smoothed out and the small bridge is a bid hairy to hit just right with a long trailer. There is a tranquil mountain stream that runs through the beautiful property. There is a "saloon" attached and is really unclear you are to proceed around the left of it when you arrive.
This is a great site for accessing forest roads near by and for day tripping to the local tourist attractions.

Overall a great place to stay (we tent camped). If you are looking for peace & quiet, this is NOT the place to camp. The campground is located right off of a busy highway with almost nonstop motorcycles & ATVs driving on the highway & in the campground.
We still enjoyed our stay & had a great time! It’s right in the hills & there is a peaceful creek that flows through the site. Having quick access to the highway made it easy to make day trips to Deadwood & Sturgis!
