It was a pretty rough experience so we left without staying the night and last minute found another campsite to stay at, it was that bad.
1) They are the only campground who guilted us about our arrival time saying they’d been waiting around for us all day when they easily could've messaged us to see when we were coming in if it was a big deal and we never gave an arrival time. There was no need for guilt trips. Campers can arrive at all times because they are traveling. They acted like we were a bother for being paying customers.
2) What they have under the description on Hipcamp is not at all what they offer. It says flush toilets, hot showers, 40 acres of land, beautiful views, a general store, 60 campsites, etc. When really it's a big open field with only three or four designated spots, no privacy or coverage from each other and noise and views of the gas station and highway. It's never specified that there's ONE bathroom and modified shower comode for all “60 sites” to share. Where are we supposed to squat and pee or take care of time of the month lady business in a big open field with no privacy and other campers and gas station patrons well in eyeshot. They also say they are ADA compliant and there is no way this place is accessible. Complete and utter false advertising and frankly a safety issue.
3) The signage is horrible, nothing that says it's a campground or that you've arrived and weird signs about religion.
4) The campsites are basically in someone’s backyard. There were a dozen guys outside in the yard drinking well in earshot of the campsites when we arrived and they saw us they waved and asked us if we were the dancers 🙄 I’m assuming it was a bachelor party.
5) We messaged the owner Donelley to describe our experience and he rudely refused a refund. He was extremely unprofessional, told us we were flat out wrong, never apologized, never acknowledged our poor experience or expression of not feeling safe on his property and even demanded an apology from US for offending him. I’m baffled by all the good reviews on Hipcamp. He straight up should not be in the hospitality industry.
Found this spot last minute when previous days plans went horribly wrong. But really easy to get to. Don't type in address and follow what the map says, call and she'll give you much better directions. Great spot for a stop over!

A great little overnight spot right off the freeway. We did not see the riverside spots so can’t speak on those. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. If you need an overnight or a few days, this is the place.

There are two campgrounds. One is on a hilltop overlooking the Cumberland Golf Club and hills beyond. The other is on the Canal and River with all the outdoor activities one might need.
If you can live off-grid, this campground is for you.

Do not stay here. Nobody was at the office or the house when we arrived. No packet of information. Empty field behind the house that had not been mown. No idea where to park the camper. No other campers there. We definitely moved on to another campground.
