White Ibis Inn (Vacation Home Rental)

The White Ibis Inn is everything visitors to the Florida Keys and the Key West need and want in a home! It was very clean and extremely well kept secret in the Keys. We enjoyed the grill outside and all the kitchen amenities needed to cook meals. All the linens, towels, beach towels, kitchen soap, shampoo/conditioner, fresh wine, cool drinks were even provided! Full laundry facilities, complete with detergent, too!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location couldn’t have been better. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained.

We enjoyed our stay at White Ibis Inn, it was the perfect antidote to the rush and bustle - being a haven of quite and calm amongst the Keys. The house keeper Ines was really helpful in recommending things to do and Bahia Honda National Park and beaches, nearby to see which we would probably have never gone to were it not for her recommendation.

We like to be away from hustle and bustle when we travel so the White Ibis Inn was great for us, was clean and comfortable and loved the privacy. 

We completely enjoyed our time at this comfortable and large estate spacious property. Loved the high ceilings kitchen, large rooms, wide open-around porch, pool, many trees fell down from the hurricane Irma and it is obvious on the garden, like many in the Keys, but coco palms have been planted to make the yard green and tropical. The owner was very welcoming and helpful during our stay. It was wonderful, Made for a great stay. Highly recommended!

************POTENTIAL RENTERS BEWARE************************

We had a reservation for this place for Feb. 19-24, 2018. The owner contacted us Dec. 28, 2017, cancelling our reservation because he stated there was more hurricane damage than originally he thought. Interesting the states that because in Sept. of 2017, he emailed our contact who booked this place that "the house was in perfect condition and sustained NO DAMAGE"!! The owner stated in an email Dec. 28, 2017, he was sending a check in the mail that day and refunding our total money we paid him, $4,270. He then again emailed our contact January 1, 2018 stating he was putting the check in the mail right away. It is now February 16, 2018,, and we have not received ANY money! He has not returned phone calls or emails in this regard. When you try to call him via telephone you can't even leave a message. States his voice mailbox is full. HOWEVER, he has been able to travel to Europe for a month and is still there currently.

One of the treasures of the Florida Keys is a little known gem of a property called White Ibis Inn. You won’t find many properties in Key West or the Florida Keys that can offer such a multitude of amenities in such a unique setting. The surrounding grounds of the two homes are landscaped with tropical foliage like palm trees and sea grapes that creates the perfect Florida Keys surroundings. The phenomenal, inviting blue green swimming pool and spa are located in ground by the oceanfront. Lounging in a day chair with a vista of cool crisp pool water and farther off tides is picturesque and calming.

Popular groups that like to vacation here are businessmen whom create an incentive for their employees as yearly or quarterly spiffs and wedding or anniversary parties. Many a family reunion have been held at White Ibis Inn and have even claimed to hold together the bounds of family that have drifted over time. These kinds of get-togethers can really add up in Key West if you are purchasing separate hotel rooms and a hall or restaurant for the actual event.

If you are an avid Fisherman you will find this home a treasure to behold for sure. Simply rent or drive down your own boat for a fish story to tell the grandchildren. White Ibis Inn is centrally located on two acres of land that is gated for pure privacy and protection. Since the home can accommodate an amazing fourteen people you have enough space for sports or a large outdoor tent for added shade.

The drive to Key West is one of the most beautiful drives you can take in the country. Since it is only a fifteen minute drive down route one you feel the anticipation of the evening without worrying about the travel time. With gourmet kitchens in both houses you may not feel the need to go down to Key West every night anyway. Say your children ere busy down at the waters edge earlier and fresh fish are the trophies they brought to you. You would have the option to leisurely graze over the spectacular Italian tile floors while brazing your local catch on top of the line new appliances that will tantalize your culinary fantasies.

Watching the sunset or sunrise from the spacious and inviting living room or sitting areas complete the meal as the tropical breeze lullabies your mind for rest. Enjoy your stay at White Ibis Inn.

It was a great place to stay for us at White Ibis Inn.
I highly recommend this well appointed, private house, it was perfect for our family. Great place, great location, helped to make our family vacation even better than we anticipated, specially after the hurricane Irma's devastatioin In the Florida Keys.

I will stay here again if the opportunity presents itslef, so much better than a hotel or condo in the city of Key West. The house was decorated nicely and very pleasant surroundings. The beds were comfortable. My in-laws said that kitchen was great and appliances were easy to use. Our family will definitely stay here again. We never expereinced this before but was truly welcoming with cool refreshing wine and lemondae. All the amenities you would want and expect in a vacation rental. Plenty of room to move around, cook, BBQ, and just RELAX. Rooms were good size, beautiful pool and ocean views. When we arrived, it was very clean, with plenty of supplies and well equipped kitchen, and bathroom.

We have several small childen, and they enjoyed playing in the pool, the location of this rental is in a short distance to restaurents, (mangrove mama, square grouper, and an Italian Bella Luna) and hiking. Easy drive to Key West, Malory Square sunset beach, and Key West's other tourist spot and beaches.

The ocean is just a walk away but you need to go outside the gate, and we walked there everyday. The only thing bothered us was the trash people left on the sidewalk from the hurricane. Overall, this house was perfect for our family, and we enjoyed staying there. The property manager was very nice to us.

Receiving the damage deposit returned from the owner within 3 days was a plus.
