Once we turned into the campground it's surrounded by beautiful trees & wild flowers. Trail to the Paint River too. They have a fairly new building part office & nice clean restrooms & showers. They also have sleeping cabins that are just darling. We were in one of 4 pull through full hookup sites. Clear above us so our satellite worked fine for local stations. They have 6 more pull throughs but they only have water & electric. Lots of tree coverage which makes it nice for shadiness. They also have access for your ORV trails. Not sure about WiFi as we have our own. The 4 full hookups are not real level but long. We made it work just fine. Each site has a picnic table & a fire pit with fresh wood in it. Close, right around the corner, from town, Crystal Falls! Cute place. Office is not always open so there is a self registration which is fine. No big frills here but a nice clean & quiet spot in the UP! Just beautiful!

This campground is clean, bathrooms are immaculate, sites are fairly private and if you have a hankering for an apple - apple trees are everywhere. This is a nice spot for an overnight and hard to believe $20 gets you water, electric and great bathroom facilities. There are some sites with sewers but they are not as private. This isn’t a destination camping spot - but a great a spot for along the way. There isn’t WiFi but the cell coverage was good.

Cute secluded affordable campground! The road in looked a little sketchy (the road could use some repair and I had to weave around some potholes in the dirt road) but I made it down with my 40' rv towing a van just fine! The gravel road in, is only wide enough for 1 vehicle. This is a place where check in and check out times are very important! If a rig like mine was coming in as I was leaving.... we'd be screwed because you can't back up a car dolly! But there were only a few people there so all went fine. A wider road would be nice. There are no septic hook ups, but a dump station as you leave. My cousin stayed in a cabin and they are bare bones. Beds and mattress covers and that is IT! you bring your own bedding, sheets, fans, etc. Our rv spot had some 🌳 and a picnic table with fire 🔥 ring. It was a very nice and peaceful campground! $35/nt for our rv spot and $45/nt for the cabins! There's a nice hiking path at spot #17 that goes down by the paint river. Very pretty down there if you're up for a hike! 🚶♀️ 🚶♂️ Bathrooms were nice with 2 showers and wifi was good! Google maps shows no campground but if you turn onto 2nd from the main street going up, follow that straight and you'll see the blue camping sign to know you're going the right way! Lol once you go down the hill you'll see the sign for the campground. Easy peasy!
They obviously don't understand the meaning of a reservation, booked 2 months in advance only to find out after driving for 9 hours that they rented all the full hookup sites to monthly renters. A phone call would have been nice. From what we saw, it was a very low end park. We ended up going down the road to Runkle park and was pleasantly surprised with that site.
What a nice little off-the-beaten-track campground. Just before the Memorial Day weekend, so we appear to have snuck in before the crowds. Great restrooms and showers, free wifi, and very affordable. If we do another U.P. loop, we'll definitely stop here again.
