Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on December 22, 2016We stayed her last year during the fourth of July because it was close to Graeagle, Gold Lake and Lake Davis (20-30 min drive). The staff is the main reason we would stay here again. They are so friendly and helpful. The park is very clean and well maintained. The only down fall is how close you are to each other. We were in a wagon will style spot and it is almost bumper to bumper. The park is also quite and well shaded.

Stayed here over a weekend in late June at the last minute due to change in plans because of a heat wave. Very nice couple owns and runs the campground that has lots of shade trees, clean bathroom/shower facilities (no fee), and quaint little store/cafe. Great location to Graeagle, Lake Davis, and Lakes Basin region. Very quiet at night with some road noise during the day, but quieter further back in the campground. Campground wifi was hit and miss, better at night and in the early morning.

Check in simple. Owners very friendly. We had a wagon wheel style spot near the road. But not a ton of traffic for noise. All spots were gravel including around picnic tables and all siting areas. Restrooms had showers and were clean but aged. Full hookups included cable that had 5 channels. The free WiFi was unusable and there was no Verizon cell coverage. Not a bad option if you just need a quick night but the close together spaces and all dirt/gravel made it hard to want to spend time outside your camper. The lack of internet/cell coverage was a deal breaker.

Staff very friendly. Some spaces are a bit tight. They assigned two guys to direct and help back up the trailer. It’s quite but you can here the road.

Mark and Cathy are the owners. The park is a dog-friendly park, with Cathy being the dog magnet of the two. Mark carefully guides each arrival to their site and guides the back-in procedure with precise directions that you forget about all the trees you might hit. There are many Cedar and White Pine trees throughout the park. Although the bathroom/laundry facility is older than most, it is clean, and at $1.50 per wash and 25 cents for 7 minutes of dry, it is a great deal. Their monthly price of $625, 2023 rates, is the best in the area. Verizon tower is close by and we were hitting 20-25 mps download speed on our 4G aircard...I am sure it is a 5G tower, so that would be even faster. The one restaurant in the area, Martha's Kitchen, is a decent Mexican style restaurant with a very friendly crew. An official US Post Office is attached to the main office, and Cathy is the Post Master of this location...so if you need mail forwarded to you, this is another reason to stay here. 14 miles away in Quincy is a Safeway, SaveMor, and a few other stores, gas, and restaurants.
