Darlene Lake is 11 acres in size and 48 feet deep. It has populations of brook and rainbow trout. The trail starts out in lodgepole forest and comes to a mountain hemlock, white fir forest. Directions from Crescent Lake Junction: On State Highway 58 go south toward Crescent Lake for approximately 2 miles. Turn right onto the first paved road, Forest Service Road #60, after crossing the railroad tracks. Travel about 6 miles, the trailhead is on the left just before the Spring Campground entrance. Hike 4.5+ miles up the Windy Lake Trail #50 to the junction with Trail #46 Turn left on Trail #46. Seasonal Information: Normally Open: Spring through Fall
