Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on August 25, 2022We love this place for cheap boondocking. Since we have an extra vehicle and trailer, the sites were very accommodating. We were greeted by Keith, who guided us to our spot, plenty of room to get a clear shot of the sun for our solar panels. Grass was freshly mowed and fire pit was stocked with some firewood.
This place is made for dry camping. There are convenient, clean port a potties and water spigots throughout the park. Primarily this facility caters to those folks who have horses, but we can see that more folks are just camping here among the beautiful pine trees.

Basic grassy sites with small fire pits. Sites located on bumpy dirt roads, take it slow. There is a spigot near our site (19). Central “lodge” area has WiFi, trash facilities, restrooms and coin-op showers. No hookups for RV’s.
Lots of rules and regulations, as would be expected for a family run place, and is good to keep the place quiet, which it was - only sounds we heard were the foghorns in the distance.
Call ahead, as this place books up on the weekends.

I have a tacoma with a cab over camper. Stayed here the last three weekends in a row due to the fires in northern California. It is an awesome spot five minutes from a great beach break for surfing. Keith is super accommodating. We had several dogs every time we’ve stayed. Sites are very large. Portopodies are clean. No hook ups but water is available. Great for dogs, kids, families and friends. A lot of spaces are very private. There are a few in the middle that aren’t as sweet but the place is big and as long as you call ahead you’ll probably luck out with most any site. We had a great birthday bash here and all went smoothly and they put us in a spot where we could have room and not bother others.

We spent two nights here while exploring the nearby state parks. It's a really lovely property with large, private sites. There are no hookups but there is water available. The owners were really delightful and welcoming. It's certainly a gem and one we will return to someday.

This is a horse place for folks with horses. The sites are spaced apart and it is quiet. The showers are located in the main building. WiFi is in the main building. We did not use it so do not know how fast it is. We watched movies at our campsite on our ATT. A man can shave and shower for .50 cent. It takes .75 for women. There is water near each site and a port-pottie. There are 40 sites over about 15 acres. They are located around the horse paddocks. The first morning we woke up I was outside and kept hearing a distant roar. Turns out we were only about 250 yards from the Pacific Ocean through the woods. Restaurants, laundry and food stores were only 5 miles away in Crescent City. You can drive 2 miles and be at the beach. The only downside is the road through the campsites is a little bumpy but no one drives fast. You are only 2 miles from HWY101. This is a great place to stay while visiting the Redwoods National Park. This park is strung out for 45 miles alongside HWY 101.

Booked our stay via email for a Saturday and Sunday night. Checking into our site was easy, and everyone in the office was very friendly.
We had a large grassy site with a picnic table and stone fire pit. Huge tree for shade but enough space to park the RV in full sun for solar. Some of the tent sites are really secluded and tucked back into the woods but still just as large in size. Our site was more open in the area near the horse stalls. You can see other campers but the sites are so large that it still feels private. The horse area is extremely clean and grassy with a shade structure and spigot at each pen. Absolutely no odor and we were parked right next to it.
Potable water from their well was delicious. Very clean showers 25 cents for 3 minutes. No Verizon signal, but there is WiFi at the office with indoor and outdoor seating areas. For tent campers, there are porta-potties throughout the property, which we didn’t use, but we saw they were tended to regularly. Firewood for sale at the office. Easy one mile walk to the beach. Tons of delicious wild blackberries everywhere.

Given what campgrounds charge I the NW ,this is a blessing. Large, spacious sites, ideal for our neurotic dog - even he could relax. Walks around this lovely horse farm are great. Some open lots, some under enormous trees.
Close to Redwood Forests and it’s various parks, just up the road
Verizon struggled, but Starlink came thru for us
We love boondocking, so no hookups were not a problem.
Helpful hosts. Great location. What else could you ask for?

We had a lovely open space in the field (wouldn’t be good if it were raining though). The road was a bit bumpy to get in, but our 30’ class C didn’t really have trouble—just take it slow! Loved seeing all the horses there (sweet little foal) and lots of dog-walking. Our Starlink worked pretty well—a bit obstructed because of a tree-but it was a beautiful tree so all good. The showers were good and huge (you did have to pay). No laundry, but for the price this was great. Nice and quiet at night too.

We stayed on a Friday night and had kids CONSTANTLY running through our campsite, screaming their heads off until dark, dogs barking non stop, etc. It was ridiculous! Granted, not really the fault of the hosts but when the rules say you can’t use a generator past 6:30pm, the level of noise we experienced FAR exceeded the noise x5 generators would have created! We won’t be back. Yes, the sites are large and it’s very green and pretty, especially with the horses, but honestly, we would have rathered saved the $25 and stayed at the casino parking lot.
