“Offers a vibrant, friendly environment”
Yep, you and your puppy can stay the night in this one-of-a-kind, dog-shaped guesthouse (if you were curious, the B&B dog and the smaller, 12-foot dog statue both have names: Sweet Willy is the inn and Toby is the statue). Naturally, the interior continues the dog-themed decor, and they'll leave you treats on your pillow. Even if you aren't planning to spend the night, it's still worth it to stop by for the photo op, and to buy one of their hand-carved wood dog figurines! The lodging is in the shape of a Beagle. And it comes fully loaded – with amenities that is. Don’t think you’ll be served dog chow here, the B&B boasts about their secret family recipe and serves up their very own Prairie’s Best Fruited Granola.
They allow well-behaved dogs to stay with their well-behaved humans-- it's only $15 extra. Just let them know when you book and they'll happily accommodate! And make sure to buy one of their carved wooden dogs-- even if you're not staying the night, they make great souvenirs!
Highlight of our trip was calling in and meeting Dennis, Frances and Sprocket. A quick stop turned into nearly 3 hours as we talked and looked around. Came away with a pair of dogs and other bits. Would have loved to stay in the Beagle, but was booked out. Will definitely go back next trip. Two lovely people with a brilliant business. We are about to start building the hyperbolic parabola that so fascinated my husband.
