Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on May 17, 2023It is the Fair Grounds lot where the (fair workers) camp. They open it up to RVers when it's not otherwise in use.
Call them for availability. $15 dry camping, $25 with water and electricity. Dump station available for campers, $10 otherwise. Camp ground host on site was nice and helpful. No other facilities, but it's a great place to stay if you want electricity and water when exploring Jerome and Sedona. Otherwise, I'd go for the free local BLM land down towards Camp Verde.
From their web site:
We have 50 amp and 110 amp service for 35 rigs. We have water to fill up and a dump station. Our rates are $25 for electrical service and $15 to dry camp.
Public dumping - If you are not staying with us, you can dump your rig for $10 or fill your rig with water for $10.

Large parking lot. You can hook up to electric at several white poles. We were parked close enough to water to fill up without moving. You have to get camp host to unlock the dump. Very quiet at night and some security. Access is across from motor vehicle branch office. Great location to visit Jerome and Sedona.

I think I’d give this place another chance...there happened to be an event in one of the buildings with a live band that went on past midnight...but the host had warned us in advance. Security at the gate during party so campers weren’t bothered. Couple of transients in tents nearby. Water and electric (50 amp) for $25 which was cheaper than anywhere else in the area. It was close to friends we were visiting just a few blocks away.

We really liked this place to leave our 28’ tt. There are several poles you can pull up to and plug into 50 amp. There is fresh water you can fill up on before you park if needed. The camp host closes the gate at night but it is not locked if you need out. We were able to explore Sedona, Jerome, Montezuma’s Castle & The Grand Canyon from this convenient location. When leaving, the host unlocks the RV dump station for your use. US Cellular was great and lots of over the air TV stations. We really enjoyed the town of Cottonwood. Good restaurants and cute shops, especially in the old part of town. There is also a fun disc golf course not far from fairgrounds.

This place worked fine for our purpose of visiting Jerome and Sedona. There is no sign at the entrance which is on the corner of 12th and Cherry next to the city park. After you enter, the RV park is located just to the right of the fairground buildings.
We elected to dry camp along the row of trees as you enter on the right along the fence.
The camp host was very nice. Our site had a picnic table, trash can and shade. Restrooms were open on the side of the fairground’s building.
It’s a tired area, so much potential for this large dirt parking lot. There are no numbered sites so it looks like they “could” accommodate a lot of campers, more than their website indicates.
Sites with power were located next to white poles. You were able to get water in one location from a white barrel. The dump station is just as you enter the fairgrounds parking lot on the left side. It’s locked but the camp host will unlock it for you if you stay. The gate into the RV area is closed at night but it is not locked. It was quiet for our midweek stay although there was some street noise.

Nice quiet place, Water fill inside parking area and dump station near road entrance. $25/nite with power, or $15 dry camping no hook-ups. 14 day stay limit, Camp host very helpful. Would definitely stay here again. We saw people working horses in the arena. A few cows and pigs were in the livestock area, far away from camping area, no issues. Great Verizon. Nice grassy town park within walking distance for kids and dogs. Great home base for Sedona, Jerome, and Clarkdale. Cottonwood has most everything you need for fuel, vets, groceries, nightlife and restaurants.

Camphost is very nice and helpful.
Weekends are crazy loud with “music” so loud and with so much bass it will rattle your RV walls and windows until well after 1:00 am.

We opted for water and electric, due to heat of the day. Quite, we had the pick of the place. See the camp host to pay. When come into the gate take a right toward the arena and you should see the camp host in a RV. Surround by Mountain View, and only 23 miles to Sedona and 7 to Jerome. Highly recommend Jerome!

Friendly camp host. 50amp hook ups. Need an adapter for 30 amp. Water available at only a few spots so we filled upon leaving. The first spigot we were directed to had a not potable sticker on the handle. We used a different spigot to fill the tank but decided to fill drinking water jugs somewhere else. Just a parking lot type of camp but great location to access Sedona and hiking trailheads.
