The Little Daisy Motel was named after the Little Daisy Hotel that was built in Jerome in 1917. The hotel was built by United Verde Extension, and today the private residence stands out on the hillside overlooking the UVX operations and all of the Verde Valley. The 100 room hotel opened with a gala celebration on New Year’s Eve 1918, and operated about 20 years as a modern hotel for miners, officials, and hundreds of vacationing visitors. It was eventually sold for salvage for a few hundred dollars. So welcome to the namesake of that wonderful time of the roaring twenties in Jerome!
