Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on April 29, 2021Best , New , Small ,Rustic Peacefull , well kept 24 Site state of the art electrical pedestals with Full Hook-up , Pull Through, Big Rig Friendly Campground and RV Park so far and I've been on the road now for 15 yrs , To make it even better The owner's are the best hard working couple you could ever want in this business. They greeted us with an umbrella so that we didn't have to get out in the rain at 10 pm to check in,and we didn't even have a reservation on the 4th of July weekend and they even honored our PA discount on top of that , the roads are clearly Big enough to navigate any size Rig with or without a tow , there are no obstacles to try to miss, No low hanging limbs, separate entrance and exit, long , level site's some very spacious, 2 fenced in dog parks, Corral's and a 50ft round pen for a nice stay over when travelling with horses, volly ball , horseshoe's and more games as well as fishing and the best free Wi-Fi yet , we picked black berries and the owners brought us a dozen of their delicious free range eggs ,yummy, another great thing is they don't have residents which is a major plus in my opinion very peaceful indeed, no mosquito's just a few knat's , very clean and well kept, This will be one of my favorite park's to stay at when I'm near by, Thank you guys so much for your hard work and wonderful hospitality and congratulations on building such a great place to stay I am looking forward to watching your campground grow and prosper
Great location right off I-10 but secluded at the same time! (Check out the stars here!) The owners are so nice and even waited up for us when we got in late. Has tons of amenities for a quick stop or long vacation. Very clean and well kept!
Great park easy on and off the I10 freeway and the 231. Some sites in the woods and some in the sun. Good wifi, good price. Will be going back.
a must stop on our way between California and Florida
the owners are having too much fun running this place
friendliest place we have ever stopped at
wifi worked perfectly for everyone here
Hitchinpost is a gem amongst regular rv camp sites. We pulled in late and were happy to find a pull through full hook up 50/30 for our C-class and 14 foot trailer. The grounds are clean and well kept, quaint with personal touch, play ground for kids, doggie park and hiking trail for the pooches, important when you're traveling with 3 Rottweilers, 1 Cairn Terrier and a Cockatoo with an attitude. Easy in and out. Very pet friendly, If I ever get back down Florida way, I will surely stay at Hitchin Post
We stayed 2 nights this past week at the Hitchin Post. What a cute country campground!! We have a 40ft 5th wheel with 4 slides and opted for a back in wooded site and had absolutely no trouble getting in. The water pressure was great and the internet service was better than some of the bigger campgrounds we've stayed at. The owners are super nice people who have created a cute campground!! We chose the Hitchin Post because of its location to the FL Caverans State Park and the Falling Waters State park. The campground is conveniently located halfway between both. We will definitely stay here again when we are up that way. One other thing to mention is the meat market just down the street from the campground. We got ribeye steaks for the grill and they were the most tender and flavorful steaks we have had in a long time. It is worth checking out!!
This was a highlight stop for my family of 6. Simple, friendly and went over the top to make us feel at home. Big rigs will love this place. Easy in and out.
Absolutely true this place is all that and then some, Thanks to John and Vonda the owners Congratulations guys on your dreams coming true , you both clearly deserve it, what a wonderful beautiful well kept Campground We will see you next time and can't wait to see what you have done
Love the Hitchinpost 5 minutes off exit 130 The owners are the best you could ever wish for in this business, they are hard working and make a wonderful team. They greeted us in the rain with an umbrella so that we didn't have to get out to register and we didn't even have a reservation. They even honor passport America after hours, on weekends and holidays, after we checked in they took us to our site and offered to help us set up. The roads are wide with an entrance and exit with 24 full hook up sites and the whole park is Big Rig Friendly. Best ( free ) Wi-Fi state of the art electrical pedestals with lighting, 2 fenced in dog parks, Corral's and round pen for horse's, badmitton, volleyball, horseshoe's and more for all age's including fishing this place is awesome and our family is looking forward to staying there again as we travel the area especially the kids, they loved the white bunnies that visit the campers from time to time and all the games.

New park with sites in the woods that are like camping in the old days. Fire rings for roosting marsh mellows and telling stories to scare the grand kids. Yet all the benifits of power, water, sewer and great wifi. LOVED IT.
