“30 minutes from Gatlinburg”
Cosby Campground is a spacious campground located in Cosby, TN, about 30 minutes from Gatlinburg and the arts and crafts community. The many trees provide lots of shade. Hiking and fishing are available.
Campsites were located close to each other and don't offer much of a view. There is a hiking trail nearby but I didn't check that out. Paying for camping was easy just stop by building on the way in, find a site, fill out the envelope, and drop the $14 in it and drop it back at the building at the front. They have a nice bathroom with running water and a sink outside for dishes. Each site for tents had a picnic table and firepit.
