Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on May 04, 2024The park is new and really nice, however the area (Flour Bluff) is terrible. The smell coming from the beach at the KOA is horrendous, and you can't get into the water from the campground because it's filled with a bunch of dead seagrass.

The staff was super welcoming. The sites are brand new and are extremely clean. You sit almost on the ocean. The WiFi is awesome! The amenities are kind of basic but the view of the ocean is worth it.

Just stayed here during a short visit to Corpus Christi to relax and visit Padre Island.
Great location near main atractions.
New concrete sites, level, and surrounded by water.
Good quality wifi (Streaming quality) and really good check in experience.
Checked the other RV parks around, and I will be back next time with my wife.

We loved our stay here. The sites are divided up into bayside, canal side, and interior pull throughs. We lucked out and got a bayside spot with a great view that came with a propane grill, fire pit, and table and chairs. It looked right over the water. There are full hookups and strong wifi and trash pickup at 11am for all sites. The front desk was texting us on the day we arrived to warn us about construction on one of the roads and again texted us on our way out to thank us for our stay. Very friendly people working here. This place is also extremely dog friendly! A few canal side sites had built in dog pens (fully caged) that are a part of the site. If you didn't get one of those, but still need a place for your pet, there are two huge fenced in dogs play areas behind the main office. St Augustine grass is everywhere, so no fears of mud or dirt on the dogs. There is a sandy beach area which is perfect for kids. It's not huge, but kids aren't going to care.

Everything from the spacing of the sites, the amenities, and the service is perfection here. We spent most of our stay in site 57 which has a patio set, fire pit, and is on the water. When we were in our trailer looking out towards the water, it felt like we were in the water! Great dog walking area complete with dog park and dog friendly sites. We enjoyed walks several times a day with our pup, checking out the other rigs and action on the water. Great place to get out in a kayak. Also a good launch place to check out the nearby Padre Island Seashore and Port Aransas. Super close to anything you might need. Note that Flour Bluff is spread out but there is quite a good food scene there. Bar and Grill, Almeida Taco Stand, and The Landing are all nearby and have delicious options. On the weekend a Tamale Truck and Kona Shaved ice truck came through so you can enjoy your site and have good food brought to you!
Lastly I want to mention the folks that work here. Super friendly and welcoming. They keep you in the loop with text messages and keep on the lookout for cancellations if you want to move to a better spot or extend your stay. I also appreciate how they work with the turtle rescue when the turtles that come to shore need help.

Seaweed smell ruined trip. The park is amazing, clean, well maintained, gorgeous view of sunrise and moon over water! But depending on the wind, it smelled like rotten eggs. It even woke me up one night! Local residents told me this area is known for the smell. Lots near office smell worse than at the opposite end. Or try near canal instead of ocean front.

Very nicely laid out campground. Concrete roads and RV pads. Most sites are back in but are laid out so that they are easy to back into. Nice bathroom/showers, two dog yards and a pool. These are all located at the front of the campground. Cable TV nice views.
Now the negatives. The restroom/shower are upstairs. So is check in and the camp store. (Nice Store).
To use the pool you are suppose to wear and arm band. The campground can also be windy which is not the fault of the campground. The wind comes right off the bay and there is nothing to stop it other than your RV. We saw constant 25 Plus MPH wind during our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at the Corpus Christi KOA. From the reservation to the departure everything was spot on. I received text confirmation the day of arrival with instructions on where to go upon arrival. Check in was friendly and efficient. We were guided to our back in site on the bay. The KOA has concrete roads and pads. Some sites feature chairs, fire pit, BBQ and/or picnic table. There is grass in between sites. During our stay I received notifications that 1. Granny's Hot Tamales 🫔 Too would be in the area around 4:45pm, if interested...2. a propane truck can stop and fill you up around 9am... and 3. a fishing report! The staff was frequently buzzing around on golf carts to assist as needed. The property is only three years old and very well maintained. We would without hesitation return if in the area. The day we were leaving it was very windy but that's to be expected on the water!

Friendly staff, clean facilities, fast Wi-Fi, better than average KOA. Right by the water with fantastic open views. It was cloudy with constant wind during our stay, we didn’t get to enjoy there ocean as much.

Stayed for two nites in March. Staff worked with us to get the he site we wanted. Easy check in. Lighting is reasonable. Campers were fishing using waders right off the park. Utilities were in good shape, facility clean and well maintained, and restrooms were clean. Nice pool that was well used. The park had an excellent tamales truck come thru Saturday morning, and it was excellent. As of May 18, 2024, this park is no longer a KOA. This facility is "FireFly Coastal Bend", https://firefly-resorts.com, selling RV spaces starting at $99,900.
