Confirmed by 5 users | Last reported on May 01, 2022Bay Point is only 1 year old and quite luxurious. The RV sites are all suited for big RVs and the facilities offer fantastic bathrooms, laundry, an indoor pool, fitness center and several spaces to hang out and enjoy the view. There is a small store and they also rent 3 different types of cabins and Airstream trailers. Friendly staff and close to state parks, crabbing, and restaurants. They also have the best WiFi we've ever had at a campground. The camp isn't on the ocean but rather on Coos Bay but there is still a sandy beach to play with the dog.

Easy setup as the lots are well spaced apart and very level. The campground is fairly new about 2 years old so the trees and shrubs are small and not fully matured yet. However the sense of privacy between lots is very comfortable.
Staff was friendly, informative and responsive. A nice deep fire pit with wood available and will deliver. Security seems fine as we saw State Patrol and Sheriff patrol the area.
Rates vary here depending how close to the water you are from $59 to $95. A bit spendy but worth the view of the bay and wildlife. The sunsets are wonderful.
Full services are available which makes it nice with all of the comforts.
The site includes a sizable number of rentable cabins and airstreams.

Very nice place, great design and cool architecture in the pool, fitness and office areas and cabins. Nice views spacious and feels very safe. Coos Bay was closed as is everywhere due to Covid so hard to tell about the area. Close to Charleston and Bandon. Highly recommend. Great pull through sites. Just a higher level of service and amenities.

Responsive staff. Doggie bags provided around the park. Great WiFi.

Enjoyed this park. Lots of space between sites. We were on the outer edge of the park backed up to the trees, a bit close to the road but not too much noise. It is fun to walk down to the bay flats. Relatively close to the main towns. The WiFi was pretty good but we were a bit away. Nice, new facilities.

Sites have nice brick area and table. Fire pits. We were in the middle area. Large grass area, good for pup's. Sits have lots of space between. The beach in a couple min walk. Sand & seashells, and dogs can come with. Clean laundry facility with newer machines you can pay by swiping debit/credit card. ( pricey $2.50) About 4 machines each. Park is a good size to take walks. Poop stations with bags & trash cans. Internet was good also cable. Park is very clean.
Nice park with wide spaces. Since park is fairly new the planted trees are all very small. Nice indoor pool, recreation room, restrooms. A number of stationary Airstreams in the park for rent as well as very nice cabins. Staff friendly. Not impressed with gravel roads and sites, dusty even when they have a rule of no more than 5mph in park, really, no one was driving. That slow. Sites are level with crushed rock. Grass and weeds abound, with a lattice brickyard and block fire pit along with large wooden picnic tables in each site. There is traffic noise from nearby roadway, mainly when loud trucks and cars that decide they want everyone to hear their exhaust pipes, which seemed often. Quiet at night however.

This was a higher-end RV resort. New, clean, and great views. Worth it. Plus the employees were super nice and professional. Our nightly rate was high, but we were also on the water. I encourage you to check out their website and see all the amenities. Things like a long walk along the bay, amazing views, playground, and clubhouse (w/ a couple of group rooms, pool, workout ctr, & kid room). Super clean showers and laundry room. Have friends/family that wants to join you at the coast but don't have an RV, have them rent one of the multiple small cabins or Airstream trailers onsite. See website. Thumbs up!
Note: for this trip, we were in our PleasureWay Ascent B-class van (shown in photo). But there is lots of room for larger rigs.

This is new resort...told it was only a year old. Nicely laid out. Fitness area and pool...co-vid restrictions so have to schedule use of pool. Laundry facilities nice and clean ($2.50 to wash/$2.50 to dry). Nicely laid out park. Lots of families and kids out enjoying this area which is great to see. We had a waterfront pull in site. We were in site #1. Pay the extra and choose sites 3 and up. Site #1 had a huge tree and electrical box in front of it which limited the view of the water. Site #2 had a tree that limited their view but not as bad as site #1. You can dig clams in the beach out front. Fun to watch the water go up and down with the tide. Birds are interesting to observe. Nice place to stay. Good location too...quick drive to Shore Acres State Parks. We also enjoyed walking along the marina on the way to the parks.

This is more resort than anything. Workout room, indoor pool and water front sites. Even the wifi worked well for a park.
Only recommendation that I would make is CALL to make your reservation. There reservation system has an odd way of picking your site for you. Example: we picked a pull-in waterfront site. The system put us in Site #1. Technically, it is on the water but behind trees. We went back to the office and they moved us to site #5. A great site.
Do NOT a pick site 1 or 2 - they both have obscured views.
