Explore the history and stories of an extended network of communities and irrigation canals. An Ancestral Sonoran Desert People's farming community and "Great House" are preserved at Casa Grande Ruins. Whether the Casa Grande was a gathering place for the Desert People or simply a waypoint marker in an extensive system of canals and trading partners is but part of the story of the Ruins.

Great piece of history, the guides are volunteers, and our guide kept contradicting himself. He didn't seem to know much and trying to pull info out of the air. They need a lesson from the Mexicans on presentation. But you don't need to take the guided tour, you can watch the short video and do a self guided tour.

Extremely nice rangers at this station enjoyed myself guided tour. Nice restrooms. And a great little souvenir store.

Great place to learn! Kids did Junior Ranger workbook and got badges. Super interesting place. Price is steep. Would always recommend the Interagency Annual Pass from nps.gov to cover any National Parks/Monument entrances. But overall, great place.
