Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on September 23, 2022This was a decent campground but the 1 mile washed out gravel/paved road to the entrance was in horrible shape. It’s likely this is a public road and not much the campground can do about it. It did make it less enjoyable even heading out in our Jeep to see the area.
They did have a couple of large sites (40 and 45 feet) but I would not recommend a big rig head this way.
We picked the 45 foot site for our 40 foot rig and fit fine but could not get anywhere near level.
The grounds themselves were nice. Large mature trees, quiet. We had a spot backing up to the creek which was enjoyable. Sites closer to the “lake” had less tree cover.
Almost no cell service to speak of. They have been working on WiFi but camp host said Comcast was struggling to get it to work. The terrain likely doesn’t help.
Lakefront is barely existent. It’s on a cove and the water seemed a little stagnant and murky at the shoreline.
There are quite a few seasonal /permanent campers but all were very neat and cleaned up, seemed more a weekend family sort versus long term residents.
Nearby Confluence has a handful of restaurants but are not all open 7 days a week. It’s a small GAP trail town worth stopping in.
My husband thought the hardware store on the square was the best he’s ever seen.

Campground was nice. Spots not too close together. Had babbling brook in my back yard which made for a good Morning Coffee spot. Good space to walk dog. Fantastic kayaking on Yough Lake. Issue for full timers. No to little cell service (could text but phone calls hit or miss), no TV stations, no Radio stations. If your just camping for a week or weekend. Great place.
